I have not seen any answers to this one so far. If you go into multiplayer options, there is a course registry section, where you can highlight certain tracks and "unhighlight" others. The only thing I've been able to determine is that there are a limited number of courses that you are allowed to highlight. Once you reach that limit, you have to unhighlight a course to highlight a new one.
But the question is, what is the significance of this? I've tried highlighting and unhiglighting courses, and have not seen any place in the game where it has any effect. I thought it might give a different selection of courses for two-player, but it doesn't. I haven't tried LAN yet, so it could be related to that...
