Meanwhile, in West Texas...
I was in West Texas last week, and if you think this was a joke, this was part of the travel warning ones-and-zeros transmission I received...

It's pretty isolated out there, so why worry? It's not like it's windy or...uh...

These people are absolutely insufferable, many of them have been vaccinated themselves as children yet are not prepared to protect their children due to their moronic beliefs.

Disgraceful.

So both the wife and I have been suffering Covid 19.

We believe this is the first time since the initial outbreak.

I started with a continuous cough which is still there but not nearly as bad. Maybe 1 of two coughing fits in the day.

The normal tightness in chest and etc. but nothing bad and I’m now starting to get much better 2 weeks in apart from I’ve now got Hives from the virus. So Antihistamine it is.

The wife has had more trouble as she is a heart attack survivor and ex smoker. She seems much better today, even so much so we finally managed a full dog walk.

Really pi**ed off we got this as we’re still super careful and try and limit our exposure. With everything that’s going on I can’t really risk getting anything as it will delay everything.

Just goes to show, no matter what you do, you’re still running the risk of getting it, so getting vaccinations on the regular is a must.

Hope you both recover quickly.

I'm grateful for the fact that my family have hardly been touched by COVID, despite the fact that we've all now had it at least once.

Ironically, despite arguably being the most physically fit in my family, it has hit me pretty hard both times I've tested positive - and I've also had two spells where I was pretty certain I had it but didn't test positive.

COVID is not over, and yet funding and support for pandemic research is being pulled by those with the most capability to help - essentially Trump and his braindead sycophants like Robert F. Kennedy.

Yeh, it’s now just not at the fore of any conversation and people are just treating it like seasonal flu.

It still needs research and funding to help keep on top of the different variants and they’re unique symptoms.

The antihistamine worked a treat for the very itch hives, so if anyone gets a rash that is slightly raised and looks like this…

Called Uticaria then you basic antihistamine works to help clear it up. Also tea tree soap helps take down some of the redness and itching.

Hopefully we’re on the back end of this now. Heavens knows what it would have been like without vacination.
