I thought of this new sticky, should be amusing.

I literally died on the Nordschleife today, I was daydreaming, (I usually let my subconcience drive at times) and slammed full speed ( 245 km/hr) head on into the Bergwerg turn, thinking, I was a little ahead in the track. (approaching mild lefts ahead instead, at full speed... oops!..)

GAME OVER, lol. 🤬

It was surreal, because I really felt the pain of this collision, I felt like I suddenly had an out of body experience, it was totally unexpected, if videogames ever come to the point where a boxing glove jumps out to whack you ....

please share your daily Crash & Burn stories.

Sometimes I brake late...

...other times I don't brake at all :scared:

Example: today, haulin' ass in my G37, hit the wall at the bridge (Ring). Was talking to a buddy when it happened. LOL.

Only a minor crash, but today in my 370z drift tune, took the corner too wide while drifting n since I was braking it only scraped the wall haha, I hardly ever crash, since the tunes I use are comfortable to me hehe :)

I was for fun driving the X2010 in Arcade, at la Sarthe! I was trying to overtake another X2010 at the last "bending" between Mulsanne corne and Indianapolis. I tried to overtake him with the inside line, when I came up beside him he just crushed my line and it all just happen like Rocky's crash at Le Mans the year http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UULKExSNK-I

I just felt how dramatic it must have been for Rockenfeller! I'm glad that McNish and him are OK! the must dramatic race, I have ever seen on Le Mans!

btw. Every time I try to overtake someone at the to "bends" on that straight the AI allways drives into me, also if i flash my lights they still do it..

One of the early races in my Lambo SV, Deep Forest Raceway. I spaced out peeking over to my facebook, looked back and forgot to turn for that corner that curves up really sharply. Flipped the car at 180, and I ended up sliding and hitting the wall so much that before I regained control I was in dead last. Needless to say I am an expert racing driver :grumpy:

In a Peoguet 908 HDI-FAP Team Oreca in a 3 lap Online race a Circuit de la Sarthe. I got punted off at the first corner. On lap 3, coming through the last left hand corner before the long straight I had lapse of concentration and kept turning left into the wall. I lost 20 seconds in the race. I was just ranging up to 2nd. Bugger.

At the mulsanne corner, at Le sarthe. I braked a little hard in my Ford Mark IV and it turned to the right and I was like "Oh fu- " then I slammed into the wall violently and went around the track in 360s till I landed in the sand trap.

I was doing the new Honda Civic seasonal event and I overtook an AI in a four door Civic and I thought I had passed him up enough to where I could get in front of him but I wasn't and he fishtailed me, resulting in my DFGT going crazy and literally scaring me.

I keep a list of nordschleife lap times in stock cars. Always trying to score a perfect lap means taking chances... And crashing, very often.. So I won't talk about where I've wrecked today, but instead I can tell that more than half of my crashes happen at Schwedenkreuz.. The crest just kills almost any grip I have and makes me go wide on the grass, and hinders me from slowing down, inevitably smashing me into the outer wall off the Aremberg :nervous:

Suzuka on the long right hander after the hairpin heading towards Spoon. I got out too wide on the left, lost it and smashed into the barriers on the right hand side. :ouch:

That really subtle fast turn at Nordschleife just before the end of the first sector, I can never quite nail it.

Younger cousin played on fully-tuned R33 at HSR, kept hitting the wall, then finally barrel rolled while riding the wall.

I was on Nordschleife testing out a car I got from my favorite tuning garage but plowed to the wall because of being over-aggresive at Klostertal. http://i923.photobucket.com/albums/ad76/Andre_Makarov/Gran%20Turismo%205/NrburgringNordschleife_3-1.jpg

You mean Schwedenkreuz?

It was at about 1am, so technically today, but I had two people who left the track at the Nürburgring rejoin it without looking. First time I managed to dodge him but forgot my brake bias had reset itself to 5/5, so naturally I lost control, didn't manage to bring it back (didn't really want to slow down, you know how it is), and ended up backwards in the barrier, and went from first to last, by a long way. I managed to catch up to the pack, and it happened again! This time there was no dodging it, mainly because the guy who was rejoining the track lost control (probably wasn't expecting the wheelspin when he got back on the track) and spun, so I hit him side on. I sort of bounced off and flew into another wall, but the side he fell off of had basically no run-off, so he was pretty much fine. To his credit he did wait for me to catch up to him, at which point I was promptly disconnected from the race. The annoying thing is I know I would have been competitive in that race because I'm comfortable in the 350Z Z-Tune I was driving and I've done loads of laps of the 'ring lately thanks to the 4h endurance and trying to do the GT-R official record trophy, AND my car was on the front of the grid in a fastest first configuration... But no, people just can't check their mirrors when rejoining the track. I need to drive more defensively, probably.

Eifel track in my new Enzo, 190 down the main straight, not enough time to brake! :dopey: Man it is almost to fast for that track (900 hp is too much).

The Enzo is very difficult to tame on that track, stock. Needs 2x the braking distance , otherwise it's 4x Crash & Burn factor.
