The cars aren't that good, but the explosions look like alot better than Burnout 3.

But Burnout is now a veteran in the gaming world like GT. These two games would be considered rookies to the gaming world.

flatout has me much more excited than burnout 3, despite burnout's inherent coolness.

launching your driver through the windshield in a twisted long jump competition... can you beat that?

the physics looks spiffy as well.

Oh. Didn't see that. The music in Burnout is something I hope changes. But Burnout series has actually made gaming history. The most pissing off thing about racing was crashing, and then Criteron took that and made it awesome.

People that don't like seeing things get crumpled, destroyed, battered, and exploded are either very boring or are sensible human beings. Either way, not my type of people. :)

Theres nothing like slamming a car into a solid object side ways, watch it crumple, smash, flip in the air, roll 8 times with the bits ripping off. EVERY racing game shoudl have crashes.

driv3r's ONLY redeeming factor. The damage was sweet.

Played this over the weekend. Ok as a rental but wouldn't recommend buying.
There was one thing that really impressed me considering this is basically a Demolition derby game. You can completely modify your vehicles and paint almost every single body part that you want. And they can all be different colors as I have shown in the attached pics. There are also body kits, hoods, rims, mirrors and more. The performance upgrades were pathetic. Only tires, engine, and gear upgrades. For this you just turn a gauge up. Very generic..
The destruction arenas were just sad. Nothing in the level was interactive and you basically were just in a big circle smashing into people. This game is kinda a generic rip off of Destruction Derby Arenas. That game was very fun especially online but it didnt have the body mods but at least in DDA the arenas were excellent and fully interactive.
Here are some pics of a truck I have and I painted everything a different color that could be painted.
