Crazy Fire In Town (PICS!)

A huge fire started on a hotel that has been abandoned for 20 years in our town.It's goign to be tore down today.It started at midnight and i just got the news,so no flames.They sent in 11 fire departments just to begin containing it.

Nobody was hurt,luckily.

kind of reminds me of when CJ's Pizzeria exploded here in Plantation, FL. one of their stoves had a gas leak and it made a huge explosion that set the entire strip mall in a fiery inferno. the only building that survived was the publix supermarket. what a day that was....

A few months ago a local factory here where I live that had been disused for years blew up and took a couple other buildings down with it. It was used as a paintball area for around 5 years prior to the explosion. It hasn't been demolished yet either. If I remember correctly, it exploded due to some tanks that were sitting near the factory that were the cause of the explosion.

That's some extensive damage to that building though.

But anyays,

4 Buildings have to be tore down: The Park Hotel (which the fire started in,been vacant for 20 years now),the Sherwin-Williams store,A Ministry and a Bakery.

All of them are total losses.And 200+ gallons of paint thinner definetly didn't help the fire.

There was supposedly a party in the basement of the Hotel (there used to be a bar down there,so people sneak in and have parties).The fire cheif is thinking it's arson,(alot of people are).

I personally think there is someone out there that wants to burn our whole town down.First a major car dealer,then this.All within a timespan of maybe 3 months.

But then again,it could be a number of things,as we DID have a nasty lightning storm last night (dry lumber+lightning=bad).

there was no fire, silly rabbit.
