THIS IS A LONG STORY...BUT WELL WORTH IT IF YOUR CURIOUS

Ok, i dont know what the hell happened...but I was racing at rome circuit II in the vitz pro championship. After that soft bend right after the long straightaway this gray vitx flew...i mean FLEW by me like it was goin 200+. it spun around a few times before hitting the wall about 3 seconds ahead of me, then continued racing. I know the AI cheats...but what the hell.
It flew by me so fast that it literally scared the crap out of me. I caught up, beat its @$$ (along with the rest of the pack) and loaded the replay, curious to see what happened.
I load the replay, and guess what...nope, that glitch wasnt there...what did happen though is that MY car suddenly just shut down for a second and started turning all over the place. Like it was follow the path that i took in the game (pressing the accelerator, brakes, turning...the tire wear even went down) but it was doing it in the wrong spot. as a result i was just sitting in the wall for the ENTIRE REPLAY. you can tell that it was moving randomly since the way it was turning and accelarating coincided with where the rest of the pack was on the track. all i got to say is WTF.
Im watching it now...wondering whats gonna happen at the point in the race where i took a pit stop.

All i can say is that its one of those infamous glitches in GT3
it happened to me on TC too.... rammed a densosard supra into the wall... it started to fly

sorry for the second post...i just wanted to add a little update

ok, no luck on the pit stop happening in the middle of nowhere. I eventually crossed one of those time markers and it said i was 7 laps behind in the replay...although i actually one the race. this is freaking weird. has anything like this ever happened to anyone b4?
i wish i could prove this somehow...even if i showed u the replay it would look like i was just screwing around slammin into walls and stuff.

i had the Cobra 427 computer car do that in a race at Seattle, it just sat against the wall turning the tires and what not

hmmm..me neither, but your story is interesting. The weirdest thing that I've seen, and it's happened to me before, was at Cote' d Azur, right on that quick left, then quick right, two thirds of the way through with the course,a car slammed RIGHT into the wall and just sat there..and when I tried to help him the next lap (since I was in the enduro,I was already about 7 to 8 laps ahead of them already,so I thought, hey, what the hell..why not try to help this guy out, cause that's weird) since all he was doing was sitting up against the wall, spinning weirdly, then I slammed into him and he took off,but I was stuck, and no matter what I did..if I tried to back out,I'd stick to the wall ^_^,but I EVENTUALLY got off the wall, and they were only 3 to 4 laps behind me then =P.

and the next weirdest thing that happened was,I was racing against my friend at Laguna Seca in my FC and he was in his AE86 and on the 2nd lap,I pulled right around that last corner of the course, and I began to slow down to wait on him, since he was like 25 seconds behind me (damn sand I suppose =P) and by the time I came to a complete stop,my car began spinning to the right and left and remained in the same position the whole time, but it was just turning it left and right as if it was like bending a ruler or somethin' ^_^!I still have that replay saved,so if I ever get somethin' to where I can share my replays with you guys, then that's a definite see!

eh, thats just... bad
i have... bad experiences... driving at various tracks... i've found out that the "gettin stuck" is actually the car being halfway out of the track, but halfway still inside... screwed up.. hha

yah that happens for several events in the game. like for example if there is some soft inside walls that you can go like 2 to 3 inches into with ur car. or when you wallride some turns. or if you are very brutal with the AI opponents. that either causes you or ur AI opponents to be all ****ed up with the replay or the actual race itself in terms of the AI getting stuck on a wall for the entire race. but yah. that's it

Yeah i just did the laguna seca enduro, and the viper tried to pit, but ended up hitting the end of the wall that divides the track. he just sat there spinnin his tires for a good lap.

The CLK touring car also spun out just about every time at that last sharp left...dont know if thats a glitch or just crappy AI driving, lol

what the heck is goin on today???
after finishing the laguna seca enduro, i was pumped to see what car i woudl get. I wanted another F1, and i love seca, so i figured what the heck...50-50 chance of gettin an F1 car.
Well the race ended and on the screen that randomly selects your car, only 3 CARS WERE PRESENT. from the shadow you could tell that the 3 cars were the skyline, the altezza LM, and an F1 car. what happened to the other F1? of course i got stuck with the altezza LM, which i already had in my garage. No biggie, i'll do the race again, but im just wonderin why only 3 cars were up there:confused: :banghead:  :banghead:  :banghead:

i never had any trouble either..
althogh i did once have a small thing were when i slammed into the wall, the car sticks for a second, and then spins on the spot for ages.. but nothing as bad as some of these people seem to of had..

For the first issue, I have a question. Are you utilizing a gameshark in any way? With the no-tire wear code in place, wierd things do take place...Air borne AI, Invisible AI, Million mph in reverse AI.

On topic number two, Laguna Seca is the only enduro that awards 3 cars. Nothing new there.

well thank goodness about laguna awarding 3 cars...I had looked at the prize car list and saw that there were 4 cars; thats what threw me off. Nope, im definately not using gameshark...that thing is the devil. Kinda ruins the game in my opinion. (not tryin to bash anyone that DOES use it...its just not for me)
I guess the AI crashing at random on laguna is kinda normal, i was havin some fun ramming them around when i had like a 5 lap lead on them, so i guess that new "realistic AI" got scared when they saw me comin and ended up spinnin out and stuff. Considering the fact that the seca enduro features a bunch of FR overpowered muscle cars...spinouts are probably normal, though they made the race easy as hell.

That happens on all two player races and some other (especially on Cote D'Azur), if one player is running against the wall, and the other is just standing still, turning the wheels, it turns very quick while not even moving forward...

It happens...it's a video game! lol

Lastnight I was messing with the AI cars in the P.Digital race and I rammed a car into the wall by cutting him off, and my transmission broke for about 10 seconds. My car wouldn't move...forward or backward...it just sat there...then it finally went "in gear" so to speak and I was back in the race...I've also had the AI cars cut me off into a wall, and when I tried reverse the car spun around like it was top instead of moving backwards it turned in a circle.

That's about it though...

hehe flying cars...that reminds me of GT2 where you could break through that wall at laguna seca and drive around in the middle of nowwhere. if you followed the perimeter of the track to where the corkscrew is, then headed back onto the track at that point, your car would essentially be under the track since the corkscrew is uphill...making your car fly up through the ground and do a series of flips in the air. it was always fun trying to get the timing right so you would pop up right in front of the AI:lol: man that made some crazy replays

yup replay glitches happen....
one race i did was on the tokyo track. on the long corner i hit the wall, bounced off and keept on going.
The replay however showed me stuck there in my rx7 with the AI lapping me twice before i quit. :/
