Well, it's a noble idea - one that has been attempted before many times with little success. However, it has never been done in a highly organized fasion, which is one reason I do believe it has always failed. With that said, this is a project I would promote here on GTP. However, I do not personally wish to be involved and I do not want any of my moderators in charge of it, either - our plates are already too full. It would be up to one of you, such as ZAGGIN or Vexd to organize and manage everything. Is that something you wish to do yourself?

He Speax!

If only i knew how to do it i would!

Perhaps we can convince someone to take up the challenge for us and set the rules.
It could be a very successful thread with an extremely rewarding outcome!

I was an admin on the STGC forums for a while and I've had my own automotive boards until last year, so I've had some exp.
Create the thread and set me up as it's moderator. What do you have to lose?
(by the way, STGC did exactly what we are proposing, and we drew the attention of not only the programmers from Taldren and Activision but also the attention of Harry Lang, who is the game developement Public Relations officer for Paramount.)

Could this be our first volunteer?

Please initiate something somebody, i think this will take off if done correctly.

Congratulations Jordan. GTP has just reached over 50,000 members!

Well now that everyone's here (so to speak) we can get started!

50,000 of us should be able to compile a worthwhile list of improvements for the next GT game, shouldnt we?

Step up up to the challenge someone?

It would probably turn into a waste of time. As said before, Sony probably has their own people who surf the web, and see what forums like this have been thinking. Heck, they've probably already visited GTPlanet.

IMO, a Sony thread and sending it to them would only give them a chuckle.

Yes thats true, a lot of people say from before GT3 that we want reverse lights (sounds stupid but isn't hard to make I guess and is a nice detail+ in many games already) and they still didn't do that so people who ask for visual damage on +700cars --> forget it maybe in GT6 or 7 on PS4 they will.

I dont think we should include the question "can we have damage please?"
More something along the lines of "can we reduce the amount of time the untuned cars take to change gear when in automatic mode please?"
or "can we have a 24 hour race with some altering light effects to represent the 24 hour period?"
etc etc.

However, this still needs structuring properly to work at all.

I want to know if there is a limit to how much text you can post?
If there isnt, then why cant we set up a thread where each user is limited to one post only, and they come back and edit it if they have any fresh ideas, but notify the thread moderator of their edit so that everything is kept interesting and fresh.
That way, any posts made which are totally pointless, can be deleted, and the user banned from the thread.

Some forms of control in place like this would ensure an informative article could be produced for SONY/PD to peruse.

I personally just do not know what restraints can be applied to a thread.

No need to wait Liquid.
GT5 is supposed to have damage. KY said himself they would get it as one of the main aspects.

That seems great news but I hope they put the easier thing in as well(skidmarks, full ligths, day and night, weather, dirt on the car, etc.)

What about a lap chooser?

When you enter a race for the second time, you should be able to choose the laps you have to do?

so if you want to set up a really challenging race against the other cars, you can have hours or even days of it.

See, we are full of ideas, can we PLEASE have someone who knows how to structure this come along and do it?
