Hi folks,

I just got GT6 and have just registered to this forum, so hello to you all.

I have a question regarding career mode. I enjoy the long haul and my current experience with GT6 career mode is I am literally having credits shoved down my throat because of the incremental login bonus. What should be a modest 9k credit win is like 15k. I am barely out of the B-tournament and already able to afford an absolute mammoth machine if I so choose.

So my question -- can I disable this bonus credit feature and only receive 100% of the winnings, not 150%, bringing the game progression down a notch so that I am not swimming in millions of credits because half of what I earned was "magic happy bonus"?

Also, a side question, I know I can choose lap length in arcade mode, but is there a difficulty slider for career mode wherein lap total is increased and AI more aggressive?

The only way you can disable the bonus is by not being signed into to PSN when playing playing GT6.

The career races have no such difficulty slider, as you have found in Arcade. The best advice is to not use cars at the maximum PP limit, this way you will have a more challenging race. It's a bit trial and error, but that is the only way to do it.

Have you looked at sticker prices in the dealership? Have you seen the cost of upgrades? Why would you want to limit your earnings?

My advice, if you want it...
Do not refuse credits... Save your credits, as one day you will be pleased to have them when you need or decide to purchase an expensive car that costs several millions...

Not forgetting 500,000 cr engine rebuilds too.

Welcome. I happened to just return to GT6 one week ago after a long hiatus. As far as i knforw, u should hoard every credits u can if u intend to build up a big garage. Many cars cost millions and upgrades are very costly too.

u can choose arcade AI difficulty and in main menu aggressiveness. As it is chase rabbit format, the less laps the more difficult it is. For tougher challenges for average racers, 4 laps with professional AI at aggressiveness 5 is a good place to start. If u lose, add laps or decrease difficulty. If u win easily, u r good and decrease to 3 then 2 then 1 lap. not sure if anyone can win in 1 lap in arcade yet.

First - welcome to GT6 and I hope you enjoy yourself. For me the biggest pleasure is not the career mode, but racing online with friends in my favourite cars and afterwards seeing great photos which they have taken which bring back good memories of the race.

The limit for credits in GT5 was 20m and it was raised to 50m in GT6 as a result of popular demand.

Believe me you will need all the credits you can get later on - I have recently spent 120m on getting the high value cars (mostly 20m each). If you have lots of credits join my Historic Le Mans series which starts on 7th September or my current Cobra Ferrari Wars series (NB there are cheaper alternative cars on the list as well as the 20m credit ones) - click on my signature if you are interested.

If you want more of a challenge in career mode - try any or all of these things: use slower cars, less grippy tyres, switch off all driving aids, switch to cockpit view, switch off the HUD, use an H pattern manual gearbox and clutch - I do all of those if I want to ramp up the immersion and get more of a challenge in the game. It took me about fifty attempts to win the night race at Mount Panorama this way in a Lancia Stratos, but it was very enjoyable!

Literally? Are you sure? LOL :)

As long as your PS3 internet is working and enabled, I'm pretty sure you will automatically log into the Sony servers and gain the login bonus. I don't think there's any way to have access to the seasonal events and online lobby without gaining the login bonus.

Some ideas:
One option: Pretend you don't have the extra credits -- don't buy an absolute mammoth machine.
Another option: figure out how many extra credits you are earning, spend them on various cars and then delete the cars from your garage - money gone.
Another option: play strictly every other day so your login bonus stays 110%.
Another option: disable your PS3 internet connection and play offline exclusively.

I would recommend just keeping the login bonus, when you reach S Class you will need as many credits as possible to get a good car for Le Mans and other endurance races, plus there's the Vision GT cars, which cost a pretty penny. Also welcome to :gtplanet:.👍
