I see all of the videos on credit farming at level 50+.

Is it possible to farm at say level 15?

From my understanding
1) use the highest pp car you got and then detune it so it hobbles but keeps as much pp as possible. I have an M3 GT 11. What am i de tuning? The transmission settings?
2) Find a low pp car that can be tuned well
3) do one of the better tracks (tri oval or sardenga) with settings i see in the videos (e.g. nitrus x10).

So is it possible to do this and get more credits then repeating some of the other events (e.g. goodwood sunday cup 400) at $52k for 4 laps?

What else is needed? Which car do you recommend I use to race?

I don't know why you'd need to farm credits before you're even at the part of the game that would mandate anything expensive?

Do a circuit experience if you're desparate but literally one or two golds gives you enough credits to buy through every book that needs a car - it's not something you need to worry about at all.

I can appreciate that point of view. For me, I am finding that for the cars I want to max out then I need to do events over and over. I just did about 15 to 20 just to get enough money to max out my m2, vette c6. So, ideally I'd like to have a more efficient grind and then spend more time doing missions/books/etc

It'd be quicker for you to spend an hour rushing through the game to get to the high paying events, than it would spending an hour earning 20k over and over again every time you want to upgrade a car. Trying to run before the games letting you walk by doing that.

Thats fair. Whats the best strat? Just do book missions?
Right now I'm trying to get gold on the licenses I have to get those premium cars.

Thanks for the advice

You can still do the licences. Just stick with the menu book to unlock more circuits. You can then do Circuit Experiences for credits. Check the Online Time Trials as well. Depending on your skill level, you can be gifted up to two million credits after the time expires. You don't need PS+ for those.

I'd advise do not sell any cars. You may need them for Weekly Challenges or future races and/championships.
Plus, you may be able to save money tuning cars by using a car with higher performance points and detuning it to fit certain races. So, just spending 500(?) Credits(Cr.) on a Restrictor may be better than spending 30,000 Cr. to make a slower car faster.

Also, if you want, you can spend real money and purchase the Power Pack and earn more credits. You can then buy cars that aren't available in the normal World Circuit portion of the game. Totally optional.

Just spend a couple of hours to get to level 50.
Grinding will just bore you out.

I am in a similar situation, currently at Lv 23. Since I wanted to buy a few (not so much ) expensive cars from Legendary car dealership and I got Ferrari invitation, I had to grind a bit. The best events that I did a few times (occasionally, not daily) were the Japanese FF 450 events at Blue Moon (75000 cr with clean bonus race, ~6 mins) and Alsace (little lower prize but quicker race). Recently I discovered also the Sunday cup at Goodwood that you mentioned (nearly 80k cr with clean race bonus). Obviously they’re not the best events to grind money, because they’re still locked behind the last cafes/upper collector Levels. As suggested Circuit experience are also a good way to have more cash.

Btw the Japanese events can be easily done with an FTO or the Integra that you win in one of the first Cafés.

I'm not sure what is available in the game at level 15, so some of the following events may not be available to you yet. Here are the things that give a lot of credits in regards to time invested.

General
  • GT Cafe - Keep progressing through everything in the Cafe. This will give you lots of cars.
  • Weekly Challenges - do 3 out of the weekly 5 and you get 300,000 cr on top of the prize for each single race. By only doing 3 you can select the short/easy ones and still get a lot of cr.
  • Weekly Lap Time Challenges - A new challenge every week, hotlapping a given car on a given track. You can lend the car for the challenge, you don't need to have any car for this. Hotlap until you match the bronze time. Will give you 250,000 cr per challenge, so once a week. If you match the silver time, you get 1,000,000 cr. If you match gold, 2,000,000 cr. Gold is often difficult for beginners, but bronze should be possible within a few laps.
  • Do the license tests, even bronze will reward you money and cars
  • Do the circuit experiences, even bronze will give you good cr.
Long Races
  • World Touring Car 600 @ Tokyo Expressway - 12 laps = roughly 30 mins racing = 825,000 cr with the clean race bonus
  • World Touring Car 700 @ Le Mans - 30+ mins racing = 825,000 cr with the clean race bonus
  • World Touring Car 800 @ Sardegna - roughly 24 mins racing = 727,500 cr with the clean race bonus
  • World Touring Car 800 @ Spa - 60+ mins racing = 1,500,000 cr with the clean race bonus
Short Races
  • Very easy: European Sunday Cup 500 @ Barcelona - 2 laps = 3+ minutes = 37,500 cr. with a clean race bonus
  • European Sunday Cup 500 @ Eiger Nordwand - 3 laps = 4 minutes = 52,500 cr. with a clean race bonus
  • Sunday Cup @ Tokyo - 2 laps = less than 4 minutes = 40,500 cr. with clean race bonus
  • Kei-Cup @ Nürburgring Nordschleife - 1 lap = roughly 10 minutes = 150,000 cr. with clean race bonus
  • Japanese FF @ Tokyo Central - 3 laps = 5+ minutes = 67,500 cr. with clean race bonus
  • Japanese FF @ Alsace Test Course - 5 laps = 5+ minutes = 67,500 cr. with clean race bonus
  • Japanese FF @ Blue Moon Infield - 4 laps = 6+ minutes = 75,000 cr. with clean race bonus
  • Japanese FR @ Lago Maggiore West - 3 laps = 4+ minutes = 60,000 cr. with clean race bonus
  • Jimny Cup @ Eiger Nordwand - 3 laps = 4+ minutes = 60,000 cr. with clean race bonus
  • Jimny Cup @ Grand Valley South - 3 laps = 4+ minutes = 70,500 cr. with clean race bonus
Cups etc.
  • Trial Mountain Cup with US cars - 4 laps total = roughly 8 minutes = 100,000 cr. with clean race bonus
It all needs some effort, but there is a lot of low-hanging fruit here. There are a lot of entry level races (Sunday Cups etc.) that offer good credit for just a few minutes of racing.

This.

Do all the Circuit Experiences that you have available. It's how I built up the Cr on my alt account.
