Credits disappearing

I play gt7 50/50 between my ps4 in the living room and ps5 in my office. Today I was grinding out races and got up to nine hundred thousand and some change. I was on my ps4, hit the ps button and hit enter rest mode. About hour later I went to my ps5 to play. Whenever you switch consoles it does that loading screen that says it’s logging you out of a previous session from a different console. As soon as I got in I noticed I only had six hundred thousand which was what I had BEFORE the session earlier. I also noticed that the car I was last in as well as the order of the cars I recently used was not correct.

Has this happened to anyone else? I even went under my player profile and calculated my total earned credits and subtracted all the money I spent and the numbers don’t add up. I’m short almost 2 million which makes me think I’ve lost credits several times switching between consoles.

If you make such a change, you should hold the PS button a little longer and then end the game, or shut down the PS completely, or save the game manually beforehand, definitely to be on the safe side.
Also make sure to have identical time zone and time settings on both consoles.
Otherwise, inconsistent values can also occur here.

And yes, your credits have probably disappeared for good, as apparently another save was loaded and now updated.
