Forgive me if this has been posted previously. I somehow lost 3 million credits overnight. I was maxed out at 50 mill Wednesday evening, got back on yesterday afternoon and noticed my credits had dropped to 47 million. WTF?? When I finished wednesday, I signed out and even turned system off. Anyone else experience this??
It's bad enough losing earned credits when "You have been disconnected from server" but come on, this is ridiculous!!
 
............Seriously? Can you retrace your steps? Maybe you turned the console off before the game auto-saved your progress.....

No, it auto-saved. This has actually happened twice this week. First time was only about 1.5 mill. Got that back after a few minutes in Quick Match. I'm just concerned that I'll turn on one day and they'll ALL be gone! :D

NEVER turn it off after only an auto-save. Always manually save - auto-save is for your backup file, not your main save. When you boot the game up it will always load your main save as a priority even if it's older.

That's only the auto-save on game boot up.
All other auto-saves, like when you exit an event, exit your garage after buying parts/changing cars etc, receive log in bonus, saves to the main save file.

And yet we seen time and again people who rely on autosave losing login bonus, credits and progress...

If your statement "auto-save is for your backup file, not your main save" were true, that would always be the case wouldn't it?
 
The only times I have lost credits have been after QM events, so I always manually save after those now.

Yeah, I'd say the QuickMatch was the culprit. Sometimes things get fishy after being in those.

I almost never manually save. But it's probably more wise to do that.
Though I do back up my game save on a USB fairly regularly (highly recommend that).

One time things will DEFINITELY disappear is if you have the PS3 set to shut down by itself after a time of inactivity. When it shuts down the ps3 that way, it doesn't shut the game down properly, and that seems to cause certain things you did in the game not to be saved.
I had applied a racing number to a car, took the car to photo travel, uploaded the photos of it to my profile... But I walked away from the pS3 and it shut down by itself, and later... racing number was missing. The photomodes (of the car with the racing number on it) were still in my gallery & uploaded to my profile, but the racing number was no longer on my car. :odd:
