I've just watched One Hour Photo and the main character (Sy Parrish, played by Robin Williams) is obviously a very creepy character.

For anyone who hasn't seen it, Sy works in the photo development area of a large supermarket. A particular family is a regular customer of his and whenever they put a set of photos in to get developed, he makes a copy for himself. He then puts up the photos of the family in his own apartment, and has been doing this for 9 years, since the birth of the family's son. He also stalks the family, watching them in their home.

Sy's character reminded me of De Niro's in Taxi Driver (as was probably the intent of the director), who is also a stalker.

Anyway, who else is a creepy TV Film character, and what makes them creepy in your opinion?

What, is he supposed to just squat over the corpse and shovel it in his mouth?
No, he's a gourmet, of course he'll pair it with an appropriate side and wine.
Lecter doesn't really bother me. He manipulates people with fear, and rather then being afraid of him for it, I just feel like everybody else is being stupid.
Kevin (Elijah Wood) in Sin City, though, makes my skin crawl. He's not trying to be scary, he just is. Freaky disturbing enigma.
Lecter is just a cat. Other people are mice, and he plays with them. It's a brilliant game, but you know he's playing it. Kevin is almost literally a blank wall, and the unknown is always scarier.

Oh yea, Kevin was pretty freaky. But the creepiest character in a movie I've seen recently was the Scarecrow in Batman Begins *shudder*.

I haven't seen the new batman, but I do like Cillian Murphy. Sounds like they are all pretty creepy. I can't think of a great creepy character right now, but Ethan from the season one of "Lost" was pretty creepy to me.

Tobias Arnold as Young Graham in The Young Poisoner's Handbook.

Easily the most disturbing movie I've ever seen. Eraserhead is next, but it's not based on reality, so you're a much safer distance from the characters. Silence of the Lambs was disturbing, but having seen TYPH first, it seems like a romantic comedy in comparison...
