I just recently joined this forum, and while looking through other people's forums, I've realized that with a little PhotoShop, these pictures can look damn good. Unfortunately, I don't have PhotoShop, and all my pictures are going straight from my PS2 to my USB drive and then straight to my computer's hard drive. No editing. Nothing.

These first couple of posts will be more of a 'time-line,' not just focusing on one car. I have 400+ pictures spanning from the time I got the game until last night. These pictures will be more of a 'Best of...' and 'Milestone' gallery to begin with.

My very first picture... :scared:

I still have around 25-30 that I want to upload, and that will take care of all of the 'good' pictures that I have up to date.

👍 All comments and criticism welcome. 👎

I give you the same piece of advice I gave someone else: organize your pictures somehow. Also turn the EV value up to 0.5 or higher, the shots are a bit dark.

Welcome to GTPlanet and enjoy your stay! If you have something to ask, we will answer. (or at least try to ;))

Oh, and visit my gallery when you have some time to spare...

Ya know, you might have somethin there. Those pics are not too bad. I think you could have some skill. And, as our duty as being gallery owner's, we must tell you(like greycap said), that the pics may look good on t.v., but on the comp., they will be dark. I actually try to keep mine around .8-1 on the brightness. Save to usb superfine. And keep the aperature up a good bit. Check out my gallery if you want, mainly the 2nd page on(the first page sucks bad) Oh yeah, a way to make yourself see that the pics are dark, when you take a pic, turn the brightness all the way up, then back to 0 again, you will be like, "whoa, thats dark". But really, keep it up, you are good. Oh, and name your gallery something like, "crixtala's gallery"or something, just edit your first post and change the title.

My favourite, though there are quite a lot of good ones. For this being your galleries' start, and taking into account there's no editing, I'd say you're on to something.

It looks like you did try to organize the shots, but for future reference, posts generally can only hold four thumbnails wide. Five if they're verts. Of course, if/when you get Photoshop, and you start cropping, that general rule-of-thumb goes right out the window ;).

Keep it up 👍

I like the pic of that Civic focused on the front wheels, it looks great IMO :)

Awesome pics man...Pretty damn sweet. Lovin' that first pic you've done, with the Evo...What do you use to edit your pics? I use Picasa time to time. Are you a Honda fan too? Any ways, sweet pics. Keep it...Oh BTW. Use your brightness a lot. If it looks crappy on the tv...it will look good on the computer...Great job

Someone likes the EVO shot... heh... my first couple of tries taking pictures weren't all that great in my opinion (the EVO being the very first shot I took), glad somebody liked it.

I'll probably change the gallery name when I update again, probably tonight or tomorrow (I'm at work now).

I'm glad some people really like them. I know about the brightening of the pictures, like I said, these are all old pictures. A lot of them before I really started messing with settings. These are more 'point-and-shoot' type pictures. I've only recently really started messing with any of the settings and getting different color schemes, etc., etc.

And to ekmatt9: I'm actually here because of you. I found this section of this forum because of your link in your JDMC.com signature. 👍 I don't use any programs to edit my pictures. Like I said in the first post, these are straight off my USB stick to ImageShack. And yes, I am a big Civic enthusiast. I don't have one of my own at the moment, but if you'll search for the user *Megan* on JDMC, you'll find my girlfriends build-up.

More pictures to come later.

Awesome dude!! Do you have an AIM screen name? Maybe I can chat with you there...Nice Pics again, how did you get that effect with the EVO? With those streaming lights? I love the way that is...

My AIM is Crixtala, but I'm hardly ever on because it doesn't work at home, and AIM Express is a royal pain in the ass... you can add me though, you might catch me every once in a while.

As for the streaming lights, that's how that background is. There's streaming lights all through the photo area to make it look as if a long shutter speed was used. If you look close, you can also see blurred people on the side walk to give the same affect of a long shutter speed and movement. 👍

Awesome pictures, and welcome to GTPlanet. But, I, as others have said, would suggest making your pictures a little brighter.

Well, here are the rest of the 'old' shots that I have on my USB stick. As suggested earlier, the black bar from the bottom has been removed for these. They're still not 'organized,' but I will make sure to begin organizing my pictures after this post. 👍

And that's the end of the 'best of' my old pictures. I've definitely noticed that they are dark for the majority of the shots, I'll have to work on that, and now I want to start branching out and messing with settings and all of that good stuff.

👍 Criticize 👎

Onto the organization... messed with some settings on these pictures (although they still seem a little dark), and the second and third picture are probably my two new favorites out of all of my pictures.

Very nice! I've probably seen every gallery worth seeing in the last 5 months or so, and that is truly an amazing first photo! Never seen anything like that after seeing like a million by now.

If you want to get into photoshopping, something very easy to use that I started to use throughout my gallery is a small program called Picasa 2. Extremely simple and intuitive and does a lot to give your GT4 pics more color. You can see how much difference it made by seeing the difference in my gallery from beginning to end.

I decided to go on some more photoshoots... this time I decided that I wanted to go with factory cars, and since my garage is littered with Honda's, what else would I choose? :dopey: Onto the subjects...

'90 Honda CRX SiR

The NSX TypeR is going to have to come later... off to work I go. 👎

Damn... no comments...?

Anyway, hopefully tonight I'll be able to get up the NSX TypeR update, and some new stuff that I really like. Didn't have internet access for long today, so I didn't get a chance to get them up like I wanted to. 👍

Well, here's the update finally. :sly:

I think I'm going to leave it at that for tonight. I have some more pictures to upload, but they'll wait for tomorrow, seeing how it's already 1:15... :dunce:

EDIT: Added the pictures I forgot to put up last night...

To come: GTR Concept LM, a little Isuzu, and some SS's. :sly:

How do you get pics of the big one like your NSX-R like a thumbnail, and then the thumb nail photo's with out those "1072x860" photos?

Greycap
Are you sure it was you and not an ImageShack bug again?
It was definitely me... I took pictures on two different tracks, and after I finished putting the one's up of the first track... I must have thought I was done... stressful week at work. 👎

I don't understand your first question... but as for taking off the black bar on the bottom of the pictures, it's been covered on here many times. Go to ImageShack, upload a picture, and once it's uploaded down at the bottom there will be an option to remove the black bar. You'll have to re-upload the picture you just uploaded, but it will be without the black bar. 👍

Next update coming in minutes. :sly:

Here's the new sets of pictures that I have. 👍

While looking through other people's gallery's, I was really inspired these last couple of days. I saw some really good B&W pictures, and I decided that I wanted to try the same thing. I've also NEVER taken a single rally picture, and thought that might be something that I'd want to try. We'll see how everything came out. :sly:

Do you know how in JDMC we gotta sign up for We-Todd-Did-Racing in order to attach those files or something so it will show up in the post when you post your pic?

Ok, well I haven't updated in a LONG time, so I think I'll finally do another update. I have a lot of pictures, but I'm not sure how many I'll get up right now.
