EA's Origin website accidentally leaked preorders, but now it has been removed. It's too late for them to cover the damages at this point: everyone now knows that Crysis 3 is official.

Crytek's founder, Cevat Yerli, has tweeted that an official announcement for the game will come April 16.

There's no such thing as an accidental leak in videogaming... I quite enjoyed both Cryses so I might check this out, when it's hugely discounted in a few years from now.

Well unless some guy is released from his duties at EA tomorrow.

I only played Crysis 1 on my Ps3 not long ago and it wasn't too bad, nothing again I only paid $7.50 for it. I tried the second demo when it came out and hated the MP so I passed.

Still haven't had a chance to delve into 2 just yet, and I guess Cevat wasn't joking about wanting Crysis to be a trilogy; bring back Psycho and/or Nomad!

That's your mistake right there: you don't buy Crysis for the MP.

I simply do not care for how thick the second Nanosuit is. It makes the main character look short and pudgy.

I hope they make it like Crysis 1 again instead of a COD clone like Crysis 2 was but chances are it's going to be even worse and more dumbed down than Crysis 2.

I hope it isn't Alcatraz, or whatever the new guy's name is.

Terronium-12

Oh I know but I didn't think the storyline of the first one was all that great and the gameplay wasn't so good that I wanted to buy the 2nd for singleplayer. I guess I should write out my full reasoning instead of just half

[PC Jerk] Who told you to try it on the consololol anyway? [/PC Jerk]

:p

Crysis 2 was fail in graphics compared to killzone 3.
I hope this one is better with no bad hella textures

Looking forward to this, both Crysis 1 and Crysis 2 were pretty good IMO(Dare I say, better than any COD to date).

Here I'm hoping that they adapt a level design similar to the one present in Crysis 1, and a bit more time of QA testing, Crysis 1 was less buggy but Crysis 2 had quite a few bugs that broke the experience(most notable the AI bugs).

Never thought I'd like Crysis, till I bought 2 yesterday. Bloody awesome game it is! Can't wait for the third. I wonder who we will play as?

Two questions:

1. How can Prophet return if he, you know, died?
2. If I pre-order a physical copy (and I really want to do so) will I still be required to install Origin?

If the answer is "yes", then I guess I won't be buying/playing Crysis 3 either.

1. Both Prophet and Alcatraz are stuck in Crynet due to the symbiotic relationship with the suits. It doesn't really let them go... Their physical bodies are gone but their minds never left the suits (According to the end of 2).

2. Of course. I have heard of some individuals even being forced to re-download various games from Origin even though they already had it installed. Not as simple as Steam's "add non-Steam game."

Yeah, I remember reading about that—the Nanosuit has symbiotic properties now.

WTF, CryTek. Seriously? I don't not like it, it's... it just came from out of nowhere. And I guess Crysis 3 will go unplayed on my system as well. Shame, I actually love Crysis.

It's about time The Mask inspired a game, it's been a long time coming.

You'll be playing as Prophet. The guy who shoots his brains out at the beginning of the game.

*Spoiler Alert*

At the end of Crysis 2, Alcatraz (main character from Crysis 2) says he's Prophet, almost as if the nanosuit took over him and made him think he was prophet. He also has a sort of vision before he says this.

According to IGN though, you'll be playing as the Prophet who shot his brains out (original Prophet) and not as the one who sort of took on Prophet's identity.

1. How can Prophet return if he, you know, died?

I was wondering that too.

Well it is a video game and characters always come back to life in games. (Mass Effect, COD, Halo.......)

**CRYSIS 2 SPOILERS** (highlight to show)

More importantly, why are there still aliens in NY even though they all died in a massive antivirus-explosion at the end?

Crysis 3 is an odd one for me, I hadn't played Crysis 1 and I played the 2 MP demo on PS3 and was almost immediately hooked. I got 2, the campaign was ok but as predicted I loved the multiplayer for a good period of time. So, I know I should be excited about 3 but I don't find myself really giving a damn for one reason. Battlefield 3.

In order to get my juices flowing the multiplayer is going to have to take a big leap in a way I don't see happening and then it needs to prove itself to me once again, I hope they release another demo in other words and I hope it blows my socks off like Crysis 2 did all over again. Despite it being a long way off I don't see myself leaving Battlefield for a long long time, it's the FPS game I've been waiting for my whole life pretty much and it's got alot of after sales support with it and I don't think Crytek will innovate their MP enough to make me want to leave BF3.

Crysis 2 made me put down every other FPS game at the time, BF3 made me put down everything until my PS3 died. Your move Crytek.
