Does anyone know some different kinds of shifters that are available for the CSR models? I'm looking to get some but I haven't found any to my liking yet.

Currently there are to my knowledge only two shifters officially supported.

They are the original Porsche shifter set

Also the CSR shifter set (not to be confused with the still in development clubsport shifter)

There are other shifters out in the market which can be made to work via an interface board made by interface one.

These shifters are:
The Thrustmaster TH8RS

The Lightning SST shifter

these also come in black silver and red as well!

And the frex Hshift+ shifter

These are currently the only shifters that I am aware of that are commercially available at this time.

And remember at some point there will be a clubsport shifter from fanatec.. but we don't know when

I've used the Porsche shifter set, the Lightning SST and the TH8RS

this is just my opinion:

Porsche shifter set
Pro's: Low cost 29.95EUR + shipping
Cons:take some time to wear in (very stiff) and Noisy shifts.

SST Lightning
Pro's:
Also Works on PC(Direct USB), very short throw= faster shifts
Cons:Cost may be an Issue 136EUR,

Thrustmaster TH8RS
Pro's:
Also Works on PC(Direct USB), and PS3 (USB only with the thrustmaster wheel and with some current limitations in GT5)
Supports a sequential gearbox mode.
Software configurable, re map gears, stick travel etc (needs a PC)
stick tension adjustable
Cons:Cost may be an Issue 128EUR

both the SST and the TH8RS support up to 8 Gears in native USB mode.
When connected via the interface one board they behave the same as the standard fanatec shifters, and therefore where the fanatec wheel is cross platform the shifters become cross platform.

Thank you GSlooney. That answer was a lot better than what I was expecting. Price is no issue but location is. Interfaceone only sells to Europe and I'm nestled here in America. The TH8 does look amazing though. If I could an interface, that would be my choice no problem. I guess I'm going to settle for the CSR shifter kit even though it looks a little on the porer quality side.
