Hey guys,

I just got my CSR wheel in the mail today and it's not working with my G25 Pedals (I do have the G25 pedal adapter). I removed the clutch pedal and no longer have the old parts to put it back together. The throttle jumps around at like 50% and the brake doesn't work at all.

So, my questions are:

1) I read in Delphonic's Thread that you can easily swap the connectors between the clutch and brake on the CSP's once you remove the base plate. Looks easy. But can I do the same thing with the CSR Elite Pedals?

2) Also, the Fanatec site says the CSR Elite Pedals can be removed from the base to be installed in cockpits. Can I do this with a Playseat Evolution cockpit?

3) Do the Clubsport Pedals and/or the CSR Elite Pedals fit in the space given on the Playseat Evolution, or is some modification necessary?

Thanks in advance.

Ill answer what I can.

1. The pedals can EASILY be removed from the base on the CSR Elites. The wires are pretty much exposed, and rolled up nicely so it should be very easy.

2 and 3 I cant help with since I dont have a Playseat. But I am guessing #2 shouldnt be hard.

Oh and just FYI, I was skeptical when I ordered the CSR Elite pedals. When I got them, I was amazed at the quality.

I've asked the Fanatec guys about this and why my G25 pedals don't work properly. If I need to get a set of pedals, I'll probably get the CSR Elite Pedals, granted they fit on my Playseat Evo.

Jerome

OP, can't help with your first question but working on the basis the CSR Elite pedals will have similar dimensions for the base as the CSP (couldn't find anything on the Fanatec website) you will need some modifications to enable a secure mounting.

I had some modifications fabricated by a local architechtural metal worker, I'm not much of a DIYer. This consisted of an extra support bolted to the rear of the pdeal base which the CSP in turn attach to. There is another plate at the front of the pdeal base. Holes are drilled so that I can unbolt and shift between setups for left and right foot braking.

Some pictures of my setup here.

I have put a couple of links in the Fanatec thread showing DFGT compared to CSR elites :)

Both the CSP and CSR Elite Pedals work on the PC, 360 and PS3, (with my CSR wheel) right?

Jerome

Thanks Adam.

You've reviewed the CSR E Pedals. Have you tried to directly mount the pedals without the base? Do you know if there are screw holes at the bottom of each pedal and how far apart the holes are? I'd like to see if they are the same space apart as my G25 pedals that are mounted directly on my Playseat Evo.

Jerome,

Have you found out if the problem connecting your G25 pedals to the CSR just a defect or are the pedals simply not compatible in general?

Thanks.

I haven't heard back from Fanatec yet. I bought their G25 pedal adapter along with the CSR wheel, but no luck yet. AFAIK, they could be incompatible...?

That is exactly what I did. I'm beginning to think that I'll be waiting much longer before using it :(

I rolled the dice and ordered the CSR Elite Pedals since Fanatec says they can easily be installed in cockpits. If I need to, I can drill some holes. I'll keep this thread updated with my progress in case anyone else is in the same bind.

Jerome

their are 4 holes and 4 screws sent with the set... the holes are in the corners plus they are all around the back of the pedals..

Hope that reassures you.

You are referring to underneath the pedals Adam? And not the adjustable pedal plates in front, right?

Jerome

Seems odd the CSR is not working with your logitech pedals but hopefully you'll enjoy the new csr elite pedals a lot more 👍

My G27 pedals won't bind with my GT2.
Well, not all the time.

Try feathering the throttle and brake, alternating. Load up Forza if you have it and put up telemetry.

See if random inputs show up and cross talk. Clutch, brake and throttle.

I had/have this problem. Sometimes the pedals will work on startup, other times it takes the festering method for them to kick in.

Had a replacement adapter too, fault still present.

My CSP work fine so I have held off sending the wheel back.
It's not the first time I've read this issue.

ARE YOU FOR REAL?

I bought the CSR with the Shifter and the adapter for the pedals, and it says on their site that they will work.

If they don't work I am going to be very ANGRY!!!

There probably fine.

The issue I have isn't an isolated one but it's not that's common either.

Just wondering if Jerome is having the same issue.

Oh I am real too.

I'll have to check the telemetry in the FM4 game (once I find out where it is, haha) and see what's its reading.

A small update however. It's my understanding that the SHO setting on the CSR is the engine vibration for the wheel. I'm going to set this to 0 (I wanted to anyway that vibration is annoying imo) and see if my throttle goes, and stays at 100%.

Because the way it looks now, that vibration is causing the throttle to constantly change rapidly, like they are in sync or something. I can't say for sure yet, but I'll try it today and see what happens. It also, may not make a difference because I get nothing from my brake, but maybe changing the ABS setting on the CSR wheel will help too? *shrugs*

But I did put my DFGT back on and both pedals work perfect just like nothing happened. Also, the CSR wheel does the exact same thing with the G25 pedals under both GT5 and FM4 so it's not a console issue, hopefully just a setting issue?

Jerome

Just dug out the instructions for the elites... Been looking for you for a day or so...

Removing from base.is easy.. unscrew 4 screws anf your done. :)

/\ Excellent, thank you.

Jerome

So I spent another 2 hours (on top of 3 hours the night before) trying to get my G25 pedals to work with the CSR and I've come to the conclusion that they just aren't compatible. The G25 pedals always work perfect when I switch back to the DFGT. Once I get the CSR connected-NOPE!

I haven't heard anything from Fanatec support to help with troubleshooting, but I honestly think there isn't anything they can do. I tried changing every setting on the CSR wheel and it always; never recognizes the brake AT ALL and the gas pedal is always bouncing around between 50% and 75% 👎 I tried every combination of wire swapping (3 wires) for each pedal, no configuration change makes the pedals work. Just a heads up to anyone else who was planning on using the CSR with the G25 Pedals.

EDIT: Thinking more about it now....maybe the adapter doesn't like the fact that I removed the clutch pedal completely, who knows, but the DFGT and G25 wheels don't seem to mind not having the clutch wired in, haha.

Yep the G25/27 pedals work great with the DFGT 👍 Here is a diagram on how to wire them using just the gas and brake (top wire in the diagram is top wire on the pedals):
