Hey guys, I fully understand that this is not a Forza associated site, forza planet is the sister site although i think that my question may be answered more quickly here! My problem:

I just received my csr elite and decided to install FW 742 because of its advantages over original 722. The wheel works spectacular on all present platforms except on my Xbox (slim version/ brand new) now there is a specific sequence to connect the wheel with your xbox, which i followed, but i forgot to actually put the wheel in 900 degrees, and it was in OFF. Now ive heard that if its in the wrong setting when you connect it the first time to xbox that it will be GLITCHED FOREVERRR! My symptoms are as follows

-If i start the xbox with the wheel on SENS 900 the wheel takes 900 degrees to turn the cars wheel in telemetry 90 degrees(270)

- I restart the wheel in game and its the proper rotation but it has this bad center notch and the wheel is super notchy.

There are sooo many different personalities this wheel takes during the coarse of a half hour, just from wheel vibrating randomly, if i change any settings the wheel changes. I ve tried different FW but they all have the same symptoms on the xbox and the thing is that when the wheel is good it feels amazing for forza but its not often...

So what should i do? p.s im using g27 pedals with the adapter could this be the problem?

The only important thing I have found makes a difference is to always turn on the Xbox fully BEFORE starting up the wheel. Are you doing this?

I am not sure to understand. Connecting the wheel with SEN set to OFF did not caused any problem with mine. I can set SEN to off then Forza set the wheel as a 270• wheel and if I set SEN to 900 then the wheel allow 900• rotation.

ya so i took sometime searched google and with changing some words around found exactly the cure for my problem on forza central or something. Anyways i started the xbox by itself then the wheel, made sure the wheel was in 900 degrees and created a new profile. Bad news is that i have to start all over again and ive given up on that perfect wheel feel. I swear that at one point the game was pure bliss lol it had the actaul wheight of the wheel decreASE or increase depending on the curve of the track and when the cars rear end got loose i could actaully throw the wheel to a 900 not really 500 degree lock. Ill keep this thread going for a couple of hours see what else i can figure out!

thanks ahead of time
MIke

ya so this is why the wheel has so many different personalities, seriously!!! Does NO BODY seriously talk amongst each other about update specifics and how its going to affect the entire audience. I have NO clue how these morons can openly even compete with gt5 for the best sim on a console, I think they may of forgot about reliability f Forza, gt5 where its at!!

Ah, that update. This affected some US xbox consoles I believe. My EU Xbox never got the offending update, and the EU one we had recently hasn't done anything bad for me. This is the only Xbox update I've ever read about which did anything controllers, including race wheels.

Mine messes up occasionally. (Eu).
Almost as if the FF is in reverse. The wheel will tend to pull to one side or another instead of straightening up.

Happened online and off. Not a Fanatec issue but a MS one.

Turned me off playing.

This is a verified issue that, if you believe the hype (in the previously mentioned threads and others), or me, meas that you may not be, in fact crazy. The only way that I have found to fix this issue is to do the things mentioned previously in the thread, and delete and re-install the most recent xbox system update. A google search should tell you how. I found that deleting everything including the profile(s) for the games that you use any other peripherals on after copying them to a usb. then copy them back over when you are done with everything. this is the only thing that worked for me though it is still not 100% when using that pos wireless headset for xbl
