I got my CSR set in the mail today. Wheel, shifter, and Elite Pedals. I just have one question about the pedals. The brake doesn't seem very responsive. I wanted to make sure they were not broken. I am used to the pedals with the DFGT. (Which were cheap and horrible but they got the job done) They were really sensitive and what not. With the CSR pedals, I feel like I have to push extra hard to get the car to stop. I have adjusted the sensitivity dial on the pedals but it doesn't seem to change the responsiveness very much. Is this how they are and I am just not use to them? Or is there something wrong with them?

I beleive it is a load cell brake, thus the harder you push down the quicker it slows, the softer you push down the slower it applies pressure. Like a real car.

I used the clubsports at a gameshow last month and it was tricky to use at first.

I understand but did u have to add the word freaking

Really? I mean really?

I don't see how this is breaking any SWEARING rules so why don't you just chill. 👎

There are worse words out there then what he used.

lol oh wait...I'm talking to someone already banned? Foolish me.

yay! This community has nice people.

And after some practice with the new brakes they are fantastic. I know it is just a video game but just that extra bit of immersion makes a lot of difference. If anybody has yet to try a fanatec wheel/pedal set I highly recommend it. It is something you will not regret purchasing.

Plenty of nice folk here man. Sorry that I went off topic. He just rubbed me the wrong way.

I plan to buy the CSR Elite wheel and those same pedals you have. After you have used them awhile give us a bit of a user review.

i'm totally the same boat ncb :(
i hate them though....the brake pedal is just 2 hard coming from a DFGT....dont laugh but i gone bk to my old drive FX and they work 100 times better for me...there back in the box they came in at the minute, whata waste :/ lol
i just can't get my head around the brake at all even when its down at 0.
although the wheel does feel soooooo smooth :D
i need all the help i can get lol :D

Having the sensitivity at zero is the problem. the lower the number, the less sensitive they are and you wont get as much brake pressure. I have the dial set at like 8 and that seems to be perfect for me.

The brake isnt supposed to be depressed very much like the clutch or gas...it measures how hard you press it, not how far. Put the sensor in the middle and drove a few laps, ten or so, around a flatish track with a D level car and get used to it. I was the same when I first got them but now I love them.

Definitely practice with some slower cars. Also with an AWD or FWD car as they are more stable under braking and in the turns.
