Hi peeps! Just thought I start a thread for myself to share my experiences with this wonderful wheel. Right now...I have a noise and wheel spin speed test. Yes I know my skills need to be brushed, but trust me... it's so much different when drifting with a G27. I don't have to spin the wheel myself with the CSR Elite and I'm not used to that yet since i always have to do that with the G27 lol.

Let me know what you would like me to demonstrate and make a vid about. I have FM4, LFS w/ S1 license, GT5 (of course :sly:), Shift 2 (PC) Dirt 3 (PC), NetKar demo, Race On demo, GTR Evo demo (all on PC), and hot pursuit for PS3. I'll try to make more vids and share it all here. Hopefully work and school doesn't interfere as much.

In game FFB=5
Steering wheel FFB=100
Drift mode=Off

Here's me testing the straight. Details in the beginning of vid. Also I'm on 715 firmware. All in-game assists off with ABS 1 and FFB 5. Enjoy and let me know if you want me to go more in detail or different car and track :)

So here's just an overview on how the drift mode works for me on GT5. Also, as a request from Black Hachiroku ;) , a lock-to-lock wheel spin (not really drifting) speed. It's damn fast guys. Sorry for the mess up in the beginning

Test at LeMans with FFB10 and all aids/assists off. *ABS 1
And yes...I do suck at F1 racing lol Most of the rattle noise you hear is from my Playseat. I'm still waiting for my rSeat to ship here. probably 3-5 weeks :(

Nice video finally seen one actually with the wheel at speed. That thing does look smooth as glass and very quiet. Wonder how long for them new rims?

I second that appraisal of the vid.

Most informative non speaking vid shown so far.

Quick question if I may.
Is the wheel wobble,when on the straights present. I realise it's software related not hardware but others have said its not present with the T500.

Thanks.

Also, I noticed coming off my T500RS drifting session last night, from your video the CSRE seems to spin at roughly the same speed.

@Spagetti69

I second that question.

@Paskowitz confirmed that the wobble isn't present mate.
He's due to do a review and said that he will post up a vid showing how it does react.

Perhaps I did not make it clear in my state in the "TMvsFanatec corporate espionage thread:sly:". The T500RS has no wobble in GT5. I DO NOT have a CSRE... so I cannot comment on its performance from personal experience, only what has been written about. I believe this is a thread about the CSRE so I cannot assist...

Argh sorry mate you did.

I had a brain fart and thought we were talking about the T500 for reasons only known to my ageing brain.

Lol I didn't know Brits say brain fart... thought that was an American thing. No prob.

Yeah the Thrustmaster doesn't have the wobble. I believe this to be PD not fixing the Logitech drivers in the past (not sure about current patch) and since the Fanatec emulates the G27.... doh

New vid guys. Yeah the wheel is really smooth and the paddles are great quality. It has more travel than my G27 which I found to be very enjoyable. Yeah the wheel rim looks funky when drifting because you're holding it upside down sometimes, but I'll admit it feels cool and technical. One great advantage is that you will ALWAYS know where to pull when centering it out a drift because of the rim shape. With the G27, I find my peripheral vision not focused at times which causes me to ruin the exit drift.

Hey that counter spin speed is not bad at all. If you could do a drift vid that makes the wheel back spin from lock to lock would be brill to see it.

There you go buddy! If someone can make the CSRE spin faster than shown above, please post here. Note I'm trying to turn this into a competition, but I tried my best at the moment since I'm not too good at lock-to-lock drifting. I think I'll add more Cam and Toe once I get the hang of it so I can swing this baby at deeper angles.

Great vids!!! 👍 i had a dirty thought with the above lol

when i used the redbull car i first had it at ffb 10(ingame) and 100 on the wheel omg that was crazy lol and i keep it like that for a good 10+ laps my arms were tired and i had trouble keeping it from wobbling on the straights

He is drifting in snow lol.

No he isn't. The angle of view of his TV/monitor is just crap. lol
I clearly saw clean tarmac at some point in that video. I think it was in between the two tunnels of a particular circuit. ;)

@LogiForce
He's making a joke about FCTaff not able to see anything but a white screen, when trying to view the video on his iPad.

I must've been snoring. Was too busy eating oilballs, dutch new years delicacy. lol

thanks man you dont know how much i appreciate your efforts thanks:tup:

i was hoping the wheel would turn that quick with drift mode off, see i have a fanatec pwts and if its anything like that then with drift mode on, the ffb changes to when its off. amar(experienced guy) said in his review that his settings were drift mode off and he praised the beautiful ffb effects, now im wondering if those beautiful effects are still there with drift mode on 5, actually i will ask him in his review thread.

all the other vids i have seen yours are the best for me because they showed me what i wanted to see, most of the things in shown in most review vids are things i already know. :)
