Ok, so im not crazy enough to camp out, nor do i have the money to buy a PS3 right now. So, i am curious as to how long it will be before the PS3 is readily availablie. I imagine sometime after christmas, but if anyone could help me out with this, (like if you know about how long it was for the XBOX 360) i would really appreciate it! Thanks.

i heard the ps3 will be released in the US this weekend, but we have to wait until March 2007

Yea i live in the U.S. and its being released tomorrow...but it will most likely be well past Christmas before it becomes readily available.

Well, the PS3 should be pretty available sometime in Spring 2007. I'd be surprised if you could get one easily before then.

Agreed. Probably some time in the spring. Around March, I'd suggest calling around to see who has them, and you'll probably get lucky. By around June, I expect you'd be able to walk into pretty much any store and pick one up.

Now, this is insulting. Do they actually think there are people stupid enough to pre-order another PS3 console from them knowing how well they did with the last one?

By 1.8 million i assume they mean 180000 maximum.
Why on earth would you let the launch go ahead with so few units to go around? Sony really screwed up this launch.
