Current wheels not PS4 Compatible?

Could have if I had seen it. I actually meant to put this in the hardware section where it is probably more appropriate.

Worrying news to be sure. All the MC fighsticks are just USB too, so its not like it's a problem with old/new wireless either...
 
Technically they could easily get them to work.

I'm sure they simply want people to buy new ones to get some money.


Finally, in a post-event interview on the LiveCast, it was mentioned that “pretty much every commercial racing wheel will work with DriveClub.” We’ll likely have to wait until closer to launch for a full list of what they are, but this is definitely good news for wheel owners.

They're probably talking about the fact that there's no share button, no trackpad and the PS button won't work or something like that. Of course they're going to make it sound like you HAVE to buy new stuff but if you can live without the extra features (which really depends on the extent to which they're used by the developers) it likely won't make a difference... If the PS4 still supports old controllers. It's possible they've taken extra steps to make sure people can't use DualShock 3s with the PS4, but, well, who knows.
