Okay all, here's a question of preference:
What do you do with your car?
-Buy and 'custom build' it to fit the specs for one or more races/series at the time of purchase, or
-Buy it and put modifications on it one at a time while racing different races with it in-between upgrade sessions
Seems to me the two approaches could yield very different results even on the same car, eh?
