Custom Firmware: Help me please!

Hey guys, I was just wondering, is there any way to downgrade your PSP from the current firmware without the Pandora's battery on the TA-082 (or whatever it's called lol) motherboard?

I've heard that Sony made this motherboard to stop people downgrading there firmware to get custom firmware and unfortunatly, I have this motherboard... :ouch: This is annoying me since i would love to play PS1 games and do all the cool stuff that custom firmware can let you do.

Anyone in the know, please help!

Thanks

from what ive read at, iirc, the qj forums, you need to have a pandoras battery if youve offical firmware 3.50 or later. but, i dont see why you wouldnt want one if youre planning on running custom firmware anyways. not only can you jump from any offical firmware to any custom firmware, itll unbrick your psp if something happens.

What formware do you have? I was a beta tester for the original TA082 downgrader from Dark_AleX. You can do it without buying a game from both 2.71 and 2.80, anything above that up until 3.50 needs lumines unpatched (if I remember correctly).

Just post that info and I'll try to help you.

I have the very latest (not realising that it is harder to downgrade with higher firmware till it was too late). I think the firmware is called 3.92... Does this help?

If you're lucky, you might find someone at school to do it.. that's how I got mine done; my friend had a pandora's battery and magic stick.

It got confiscated though.... :ouch: I hate this counselor.. everyone does.

You were a beta tester for Dark Alex? Cool!

Yeah, on the original 2.71 TA082 DG rademe it says thanks to *insert a bunch of spanish names here* and one of them Marcos is me.
