Custom garage sorting would have been awesome.

It seems like an obvious idea to me, so some of you have to agree on this. The ability to essentially create "playlists" or folders inside your garage would have helped the sorting a great deal.

We can sort by date, make, etc. already, but if we'd been able to sort cars into our own custom groups we'd be able to view them in sets such as "Showroom", "Drag", "Drift", "For Trade", "A Dozen Pink Enzos"... you get the picture. Anyone with me on this?
 
I was with you until the whole pink Enzo thing.. :lol: I do wish we had the option to "save" a sort option. Like right now my biggest decision on what car I want to use is based on power but I have to constantly go in and select that as a sort option.. plus my garage is up to 300+ cars and scrolling is an absolute PAIN, I'd have it on a text only list so at least it could scroll faster and not have to load the car pic too.
 
I just wish it would remember how I want it sorted...sorting by date acquired is useless...

how is the garage in PGR?? i dont know... maybe im the only one

i just add most of my cars as favorites and go directly there to see what car im going to use next. the majority of my cars i've won as 1000km ticket or reward cars and are absolutely useless to me. what i do miss is sorting the cars according to "power to weight ratio"

It had different exotic locations or garages of mansions to park cars and you could walk around to the one you wanted and drive it. It was pretty much a photo mode with select cars.

100% agree, I've got close to 300 cars and a custom garage option would be a godsend.

This is one of my biggest pet peeves and it wears me out. I've also wondered why we can't create our own "folders" in the garage to put cars. Once you get over 150 or so it gets really hard to manage.

More indicators that PD has never actually played the game they created. :)

+1, or more specifically it should just stay at your last sort request.

I am sure someone will come along and say 'well with everything else that needs improving in this game, this has to be low on the list' - or words to that effect. But that is just a measure of how badly delivered the end product is.

One of the differences between a good game and a great game is not only how the game plays it is about the detail. In GT5 there is so much detail in so many places missing and this is one of them.

Couldnt agree more, why it doesnt remember your settings or at least have an option to remember is just another niggle.
 
I would like to see the actual mileage I have done in a car. To sort in that order would give some warning (as there is no other way) of deciding whether a car is in need of more than an oil change. New cars are fine, but with used ones it is a problem and I don't see the fun of noting the mileage when I buy.

Not familiar with that one but from your descriptions it appears it's what I was hoping/expecting as well. At least a warehouse type thing with your cars (like the one sometimes showing on the opening screen) or something top gear style.

Best by far would be something Jay Leno style. And seeing KY wants to build some "open world" thing I would immediately add that it would be awesome if you could actually walk around your own garage.....Like Leno does everyday probably....lucky bastard :P

Very true!

GT5 is very unfinished.
I hope Kaz will never ever talk again about perfectionism. All these little missing details and flaws in almost everything.

it does show the mileage on the car when you view the car .. i think
