I already posted this on /r/granturismo, but have yet to receive a response. So:

I put some custom music from Super Street Fighter II (most of them, except for Guile's and Akuma's - which is an Super Turbo character, were "self-made" - I basically merged the normal and heavy damage part of the music using Audacity) and when I fire it up on GT6, the music sounded too quiet, even after I set the menu and user music volume to the maximum allowed setting in-game. The song(s) in question plays loudly in the XMB.

Any ideas why? :indiff:

Music does not play that loud in game compared to the other sounds, also if you have the mode set to theater the music volume is lower. I've noticed on my system that if I set it to living room the music plays at about the same level as the engine sounds but if I change the mode then the music level drops to about 50% of what it is in the living room mode, possibly less than 50%. So try changing the mode and see what result you get.

Another option would be to load the files onto a PC and increase the volume on them then save and put them back on the PS3

I have not changed the living room/theater mode setting yet. :indiff:
