Custom PS3 faceplates

HI EVERYONE! I want to start doing custom PS3 faceplates and was wondering that if you could would you get a custom plate? Now when I say custom I mean custom art works. Right now my dad and I aren't taking on commissions as of yet but once we get this BOSS 302 plate and custom GT plate done we'll see about it.

Now the plates we use are the PDP plates that have designs already on them like this one.

So let me know what you all think and I would also like to say that one day we'll start doing full consoles like Wiis, PS3s, and even handhelds.

Also I plan on donating at least 20% of the final price of each plate to a charity.

I like the charity idea, but there is a company that does this for less than $30 bucks. You can go with one of their pre designed skins or make your own.

but this ain't some sticker. this is real paint and real one off stuff.

Paint or decal or vinyl, it produces the same results...that's just how I see it....

True, but when you can have a painting of a red Ferrari 458 drifting with a 2012 BOSS 302 on your PS3 do you really want a decal?

And I'm talking more than just GT and cars. I'm talking about custom work like Kratos taking on Thor and The Avengers. I'm talking about Commander Shepard fighting necromorphs along side Issac. Or a wonderful sunset over some palm trees in Alaska. My ideas are limitless and I wanna share it. Not for free of course.

Well I am with you on original ideas... But I would rather make my own, as I am sure most people would rather do it themselves.

And why would someone want a landscape painting on an electronics case? They don't even sit in the same context.

That doesn't make it right, like I said, I like your idea but there are already enough companies that do it.

Well, we do it to arcade sticks. Though I would like to see a finish product before actually making a thread..and shouldn't this be move to PS3?

I don't rip images and paste them on my arcade sticks. I draw everything.

However, it is totally cool to copy existing images that don't belong to you as long as it isn't going to be sold. Some of the guys at SRK steal images and sell it off, some of them, are also bad at photoshop

Seems like a good idea but is it cost effective?..Seeing finish products first then we will see lol.
