I haven't done much online racing yet. Actually I've only done a total of 4 online races. All of them with the Kart because I think that is definitely hands down the funnest 'car' in the game. Anyways, the only track in the game worth racing on is autumn ring mini. This got me thinking. Can you race online with your custom tracks you have made? Thanks

I asked myself that question too, but i could not find the possibility to race online on a custom track. I've even read the "manual" but all it says is that you can set a custom track online so your friends can download it and race on it, but you can't race against eachother, so it seems.
So for now my answer has to be: No, you cant race online on custom tracks. Maybe this will be patched in the future, who knows.

What is another good track for the go karts then? I remember seeing the videos of GT5 prerelease with some sort of go kart track in a city. I know autumn ring both ways so well now I could do it with my eyes closed.

Euh, good question, for karts i think you should check out the shorter and flatter circuits. I'd try circuits like the TopGear Testtrack, Tsukuba Circuit, Suzuka Circuit East, Cape Ring South and maybe Circuito de madrid short course...

Give them a try, and see for yourself!

Custom circuits online would be a bad idea for public online races. People would create a track, save it, get good at that track, and then start a lobby with that track. Other random people would join, and have to race on a track that they've never even driven on before, and before they know it, most random people wouldn't have a shot at winning the race as the track/lobby hoster would have a significant advantage. Imagine racing online at the Nurburgring having never driven on it before. You'd be all over the place or really slow, or both.

PD should create pubblic lobbies based on restricted rules such as PP system, something like GT5p but with damage ON which mean people will need to drive properly if they don't want to smash their car in 10 seconds.
Custom circuits would be fun in a private lobby with your team or friends.
