I've owned my CSR-E since they were first released to the public. To date the wheel has been great and I really enjoy the multi-platform capability. The one thing I always disliked though was the orange paint used on the side panels.....I always considered it an eyesore on my rig. I finally alleviated that today by painting them with some Dupli-Color Ford Mineral Grey. It makes it look quite similar to the CSW but this grey looks quite different in person than that used on the CSW due to the metallic content and hint of brown to the colour. I chose the Ford Mineral Grey because under my basement lights it blends well with my Anthracite pedal kit of my Clubsport pedals. For those considering paint work for their CSR-E or CSW it's a very simple job to remove the side covers.......12 hex head screws in total to remove........4 on the front plate, 4 for the nose cover and 4 small ones to remove the fan........you don't even need to unplug any electrical stuff.

Much happier.

Now if only I had my CSS........

Excellent work! Looks like it was meant to be that way all along.

Great stuff.👍

I always wanted to do that with my CSR Elite too and if it was compatible with the next gen consoles i would have kept and probably painted it too.
