I happened to notice the Vauxhall (Opel) Calibra Touring Car is spelled "Ca-R-ibra" in the game...

I know that Japanese call McDonalds "Macoo Donardoo" because they don't have the letter L in their alphabet or phonetics but this much of spelling ??? Hehehe

This was mentioned in the amusingly, but politically-incorrectly titled thread Hory Clap - It's the Caribra

There are quite a few little mistakes in the game's translation.

This phenomenon is known as Engrish. Its the poor translation between japanese and english. GT2 has LOTS of typos and nonsense in it if you look hard. (look at the spelling in the event generator)
