Daily Race C - Why Did I need to fuel?

I was the only one that needed to fuel the car by the 8th lap. What am I doing wrong? I didn't find anywhere to change fuel settings before the race starts.

During the race, press left or right on the D-Pad to cycle through the multi-function display until it shows fuel map settings. Press up or down to change fuel maps. Fuel map 1 provides maximum power with maximum fuel consumption, fuel map 6 provides the lowest fuel consumption at the cost of power.

You dont need to use fuel map for Daily C this week. Just short shift on long straights and thats it Mazda Atenza GR4

So Fuel Map can be all the time 1 , just short shifting especially in long straights.

If you are playing with automatic gear, then yes you must to use Fuel Map 2-3 sometimes

Suzuki Swift Gr4 can do it in mix 1 absolutely flat out with no short shifting or anything.

It's not the best car for the race but it's fun to drive.
