genuinely think this is a great idea! I do not do daily races at the moment because worried about losing DR, and I know that other people have had much more time grinding out their qualifying lap and have practiced the race loads.

this means I can just start from the back without any stress. people on twitter suggest that it would be like wreckfest? I dunno I don't think so, people wouldn't be clammering for positions if it has no impact on your rating, right?

Even if it is a wreckfest it won't matter because you have nothing to lose so you can do exactly what you say & if you get bumped it's no big deal.
I see it as a good way for drivers to improve their racecraft before entering into lobby's where dr & sr are affected.
Hopefully it will make the racing in dr & sr lobby's a bit cleaner.

Ps It also means I will be able to grind out the last of my sport races needed for the trophy without fear of losing my ratings. 😁

What are people so afraid of in losing rating? I'm sorry, but if you hit other cars, you SHOULD lose rating and end up in lobbies with people who are also learning the craft. This isn't always a bad thing, as we all learn together on what to do and not to do. The way you drive with other people should have consequences, both good and bad. The nice thing about being in an A+/A | S rated lobby is I know most people in that lobby have already gone through those learning curves and can race well.

And I disagree about "having nothing to lose." I don't want that to be the mindset of the guy behind me on the straight before the next turn. "I got nothing to lose, I'll just go for it and not care if I ruin someone else's race." Your actions directly effect others' ability to have fun in the game as well.

PS - Oi, this is NOT directed at you specifically, just in general.

this is the other side of the coin. will genuinely be interested in seeing what the result of these races are, if (and that's a big if) you are paired with people who have the same DR or SR, therefore someone with A+ will be paired with other A+ drivers? I personally believe that races that don't impact rating against other A+ drivers will be cleaner, while races that don't impact rating against medium ranked drivers will be less clean, lower ranking will be even less clean. that's just my first-thought prediction though. I don't think safety rating will be particularly relevant because it's very easy to obtain S ranking

Hopefully, this could be where PD tries out more experimental regulations, and we could see said regulations become part of ranked races if they prove to be "successful" by PD's metrics.

You lose the time invested into this mess of race, what even makes it worth spending time on if there no rules or DR/SR to race for? It’s literally just killing time for the sake of killing time, while also getting bashed around by idiots. I give it a month and it will be gone, if that.

well pigems let's be fair you're into the multiplayer lobbies which offers no specific tangible reward either so

it doesn’t specify whether they will mirror the sport races or be different to the sport races, if it’s just un ranked versions of what we get anyway then that pretty wasteful, 6 different races weekly would be nice

I get what your saying. I don't fear losing my rating from my driving it's all the idiots trying to win the race in the first corner punting me off that I'm concerned with. 😉
