Some people have hacked 3D TVs to output at 120Hz and it might be possible with some 4K TVs. I'm using Windows 8 Media Center since I needed support for DRMed content via CableCard. Really limits my options. In your case the most obvious combo to me seems to be MythTV and an HDHomeRun Dual. My understanding is that tuner does not recompress the signal either. [/QUOTE]
