Dark areas in cockpit view = Unrealistic loss of detail

Hi,

Patch over patch of GT5 game, I always be surprised by the fact I can't enjoy some cars in cockpit view because I can't barely see its details.

For example, try to drive the Premium Car Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible... my TV shows me the cockpit almost black, almost total loss of detail because all the cockpit is too dark. I have played with TV settings, PS3 settings, another HDMI cable, and problem is still there. My TV is a 2 year old 32" Loewe so I think is a good TV. I think shadows in GT5 are too dark to be a shadow. However, other cars like Lamborgini Gallardo has a great cockpit view with a lot of detail and shadows don't affect it like the Corvette.

I also surprised I don't see many people asking poliphony to correct this. Is there a way to resolve this and I don't know it?

Thank you guys!

Is this a troll post? the truth may never be known. I dont get any of these problems on a 2010 47 inch LG even on the lowest brightness setting so im betting on the tv itself being the problem.

No, it's not, it's happening to me. I really love Gran Turismo Series, I usually play PC games but after GT5 release, I couldn't resist buying my PS3. The same with my PS2 system ;). I have completed whole game but I don't like some aspects of the game, like this or the crappy sound of some cars. People is having similar issues like this: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=170307&highlight=dark+cockpit

What TV & PS3 settings do you use, guys?

I have turned off Full HDMI color on XMB and I can see a bit better dark areas but are still very dark. I played too with TV settings (less contrast, more brightness, Active Contrast OFF, etc.), GT5 settings (seems no-flickering mode works good).

I see the Stingray cockpit very similar like this:

As you see, you can see wheel, RPM and odometer, rest of the cockpit is very dark a lot of time.

You don't see it as in the vid? My TV is a high quality Loewe, but it's LCD, not LED, it could be that? I can't try on another HDMI TV :grumpy:
