AH yes the dash cam, this view is sort of the best of both worlds view in my opinion. You get the sounds of the interior of the car while getting the wide FOV to see more stuff from the outside. This view is in almost every racing game now and speaking as someone who uses it 90% of the time, it is time GT Sport joins the club.

GT Sports hood cam also needs fixing! There are some cars where the camera is on the bonnet, others it's on the roof. Either add both or make it consistent PD. Roof camera is fine for rally or drifting, but most of the time it just feels like you're driving a bus!

Dash cam is fantastic and my preferred view whenever I get it in a game.

Sadly I only know of Driveclub, Assetto Corsa and Dirt Rally (plus you can make it in Project Cars) that have it on the PS4. They even removed it from Dirt Rally 2.0!

I really don't understand why more people don't use this view. It is made for widescreen as it makes your whole screen the windshield. So immersive.
