dashboard view in gt4!!

I think it would be a good idea to put a dashboard view in gt4;) i think that gives the ultimate driving experience!!:)The ps2 has enough capabalities to get them in screen,and the guys from Polyphony should be experienced enough to desing them!!!!!

anyway i love the hole gt serie and i think it's te best there is!!!
 
Yea, a dash view would be great, but you've got to think of all the work involved for each car, and how to work out the view where you can still see enough of the road ahead.

Ah I know it does :)

I know its possible, like in the NFS Series. But that was only a small number of cars, like 15.
GT4 will have a massive amout of cars, and to make a unique dash for each would be pretty hard.
 
Think of Driving Emotion Type S, that had it for all of the cars, about 50. Although the faster you went the more the spedometer was off...the Infini RX-7 showed top speed(needle was at the end of the gauge)at 70MPH, and RX-7 speedos are up to 140.
 
yeah i have driving emotion type-s too, but the graphics and gameplay sucks compared to gt3 and gtc;)

Like Mistax said, think of all the time :clock: and graphics needed for each individual cabin :rscared:
Graphics that could be used for more Cars :gcar:/ Tracks :curvyrd:?
 
They tried that dashboard trick on GT3, notice the roadsters: 1st gen Miata; MBZ SLK230; Toyota MR-S/MR-2 Spyder and the Shelby 427 Cobra. But this view is only for viewing in the 'dealer' and in the garage not on the track/racing.

But if you apply the view with all the cars (I hope 1000+ in GT4) it will take more time to process the detailing, color, etc.
 
Hansk8-I think it's great, they have both the Atenza/6 and the RX-8 in it, which are both coming out relitively soon. Although I believe that they shoulda had other Mazdas in there, but I'm sure GT4 will have plenty of them.
 
i also hope to see some new mazda's in gt4 and particulary the raceversion of the 6:p and if the producers are not capable (or the ps2 isn't;) ) mabee they can try to put a moveable camera in it ,just like tony hawks pro skater 3:)

Yea guys it would be so sweet to have dashboards on the cars it would make racing those long enduros more fun cuz u could look at all the preatty buttons and stuff lol and a moving steering wheel would be sweet at the in car cam.
 
A dashboard cam would eliminate all competition if any from gt4 and the gran turismo series because it would truly be the most realistic racing game ever made.

I thought it could take up to much space on the Game :cd:, but then if :uk: TOCA/ :USA: Pro Racer/ :au: Aussie V8 can do it so can :gt:?
 
it will probably take up a lot of space on the game disk but i've heard that some electronic companies are developing a dvd disk that would hold 20 gigs on one disk and if it's double side you have 40 gigs of data. if this technology comes out in the next couple of years it might be used on the ps3
 
Did you ever stop and think, at how many car dash's they would have to model customly...
 
I think it;s a stupid idea...How many of us actually play on 55" TV's where screen space isn't a problem. A Dash would cut almost half the windshield off...I mean have u ever tried racing in Arcade Mode Split Screen? It sucks...
