Date pushed back for prologue servers... Why PD?

Just noticed on the Gran Turismo website that they have pushed the date back until the end of September to close the Prologue servers.

For those hoping that the servers were going to be switched over to GT5 for leaderboards are going to be disappointed. Here's to another failure on PD's part :cheers:
 
If you want you could donate a few million dollars and they could build servers for both....
 
Is Prologue so much better than GT5? I mean, it's out for more than 3 years now, GT5 since around 7 month, and you still want to play the beta version? :confused:

But one for sure, the GT5P theme for the XMB is much better. 👍 PS: i don't have the game.

I think you misunderstood, the OP is saying that they are disappointed that the servers are not switching from GT5P to GT5 sooner.

So let me get this straight: people who bought the old GT5P game have extra time for online functionality,and you describe this as 'another failure'?

It's pretty clear PD cannot possibly satisfy you.

What reason do you have to think these servers were going to do anything for GT5, anyway? You're establishing a mission for GT5 that I don't think they've actually expressed, setting yourself up for another claim PD failed.

Hey, mate, GT5 isn't perfect, but it's enjoyable enough that there's no real need to hunt for these kind of thing to knock.
 
I may have a theory as to why this has happened.

Forza 4 comes out in October,so to compete with Forza they have elected to do this.With doing this they will have more time to test and get the kinks out of it to be ready for the switch so GT5 can have a Leaderboard System that will rival Forza's.

This will be a month before Forza 4 comes out so doing this will keep gamers more interested in GT5.

The word "HOPING" in my post, meaning it was not certain that the servers would be switched over so we could have leaderboards in GT5.

Leaderboards and Matchmaking were one of the first things PD mentioned would be coming in an update. 10 updates and 7 months in and we still don't have them features, not to mention on the back of the case it says the game comes with these features.

I was not the only person that thought PD would use the Prologue servers for GT5, I have seen it mentioned on different threads and forums, if the rumors were true then this is a big setback as this game is dead to me and others without these features.

Gt5P is a better game, im sure alot still play that over GT5

Yes we know it's only a game and yes we do have life and a GT Life ;).Most of us feel this is a big deal and should be discussed.Whether it be in here or in another thread.

If this game was to get Leaderboards and Matchmaking it would make the life of this game so much longer and more enjoyable.
