Well. I was just wondering if you had a 240z to modify what would you do to it. I mean change of engine, change of seats, placement of engine, and other related stuff. You guys tell me your ideas and then I will tell you mine. Be inventive. Do what you would like done to the car.

I'm putting all period aftermarket stuff on mine. American Racing Libre (Libra?) wheels (BRE-style), ANSA exhaust, maybe Weber DCOEs, and possibly a roll bar and harnesses. But first, I have to get it painted and re-assembled ;).

Wouldn't mind putting a turbo LS1 into it! :D There's a video floating around the net with a blue 240Z with a turbo LS1. Lays rubber down all the way to 4th gear, and it sounds beautiful. It beat a Yamaha R1.

i'd do something like this

^ WHHOOHH!!!!

Got to hand it to you, that a pretty nice pic!! :) 👍

Fully stripped interior, rollcage, harnesses, Sparco Pro2000 seats. Full engine buildup. Fuel cell. Rally suspension. Rally light pod. Pink paint, with SSR Sakura rims.

If I have the old Z, I'd like to look like the one here:

-> "The Devil Z" from the Wangan Midnight Manga series.

Not much probably (I HAD one actually)...

A 2.8 from a 280Z with the 5 speed, give it a huge ass turbo, slightly fatter tires and that's about it...

If money aint a problem, I would think about squeezing the full drivetrain of a R34 GTR Vspec in it. including the ATTESA ETS pro. bring the power to about 500 awhp and have fun.

Darius's 240Z. In all those videos he was actually running a supercharged(Centrifugal, had a blowoff valve/wastegate/whatever the ****. That's why you think it's turbo) 383 stroker LS1. Last I heard he took the supercharger off because it was simply too much power, and he was having trouble putting it to the ground.

I might be getting a 280z as a first car, if that matters... I'm not quite sure what it needs yet, but i will soon. I do know it kind aneeds a new paintjob though.

I wouldnt mind having a 240z (LOVE the grill) but i cant find one. So, if i do get a Z, it will be a 79 280zx. If i get it, i'm most likely going to have it painted, and then eventually get osme rims for it, as well as a new system (not that thump thump stuff, i mean a good system). I'm not sure where ot get aftermarket parts for these cars, or how to make them faster other than an engine transplant, and i dont really want to do that. ;D

BTW, hey josh, how ya doin?

You can find cars, aftermarket stuff, and everything else for your Z on E-Bay. Also, search for the Victoria British Z catalog. It's free and has a ton of good stuff in it. Also, try motorsportauto.com.

Ah, gotcha. 👍 How much power was going to the wheels with the SC on?

I'd never put a bow tie into a 240z...that's insulting the Z's heritage...I mean...A modified VG30DE would be damn fine enough...it's not like the cars suffering from weight issues...it's all traction issues...

Z Car Parts is also good. I know a lot of sites as I too was looking at a 280Z as my first car. :)
