Datsun 510 vs. BMW 2002?

I voted 510 of course, not that I don't also adore the 2002 though.

Nice 510 Leadfoot, have you done much to it? Or is it pretty stock?

I take it you are going to get rid of the rear flares?

My car is pretty close to stock. I have 1982 Z rims on it with Toyo tires on it. I have stock mirrors which i want to install. I have a 500-watt sound system in it (came with the car) with bostons in front and insignias in the rear. The seats are from an Acura, It has a dogleg 5-speed in it. The engine has been tuned... I wanna dyno it to see how much HP it can get. I think i may be able to pull 0-60 in under 8 secs, but I havent been able to test it out. The rear shocks are from Tokico. I am getting new fronts soon. I have 240z rear half-shafts. Car battery was relocated to the trunk. That is the main stuff that has been done to it.

I am debating with my dad to remove the rear flares. It gives it the "lowered gangsta look" which i am not to fond of. I am also debating on colors. what do you guys think of a good color for a 510?

Also, My family has another 510, stationwagon, which is practically bone-stock. It was garaged for 10 years, and prior to that, it was driven by an old lady. I will post pictures in a minute

The XU1 was a superb car too, which probably beats the SL/R 5000 for me, but not the A9X Hatch, the greatest Torana of them all. The XU1s had a 145kw 3.3L triple carb L6 and they sound absolutely beautiful too.

In your case, it's hard to choose between BMW and Datsun because so many people treat them both like they're gods (a bad thing to do). There are many cars in this thread I'd probably take first.
