Get on back to GT2 and get your swerve (um, I mean, counter-steer) on. Pop in that Arcade Disk and take some laps around that crazy track called Rome Night!

Car: Venturi Atlantique 600LM (Special)
Track: Rome Night
Mods: Tune it any way you like except for TCS and ASC. They aren't permitted in my league.

Edit: This will run until the end of the month...I want to see if I can improve. Plus, more than three entrants?

Any GTP member who wishes to submit a time, whether from the past or present, may do so.

Any takers? Come on, this is a powerful car on a great track...

Not enough dough yet? (4 wins in All-Star GT at Red Rock Valley will help!) I suppose you're both starting out your games, I forget that I've been playing it since mid-2000.

Actually, I have had the game awhile, but I just started playing again recently (I'm at 20-something percent), and I can't seem to hold on to my cash. I just blow it on something crappy. Right now I've got around 20 cars in my garage. Like, for instance, I was saving up for the Venturi, but, NOOOOO, that stupid Skyline R34 GTR V-spec was too tempting! I ust HAD to fully tune it!!!! AAARRGGGGHHH!!!!! :banghead:

Well, at least you went for the 600LM, everyone dives straight into the Escudo or Espace F1...if it's any consolation, the 600LM really has 705hp (not the 690 posted in the special area).

Yeah.. What's with some of the weird discrepancies with the hp ratings? I was looking at the info for the lancia S4 rally car, and it said that the rally version had 600+ hp, while the street version only had 250! But when I looked at the hp rating for the rally version, it only had around 250 hp!

The rally Delta S4 has about 395hp when you buy it. The rally cars have great discrepencies in horsepower ratings....usually in the buyer's favor. Yeah, I was disappointed that the S4 didn't have the promised 600hp, but it does a good job with ~400.

The Touring Cars (TT LM, Alfa 155, Calibra) are also liars in your favor.

All, right...like a preacher in an empty church:

1:25.055 is my best time at Rome Night w/ 600LM.

i got almost every car in the game, heh, sorry im a freak i love cars, well anyways ill try it and come back to you and say my fastest lap

Well, it's good to see a comparison, even if it's my butt handed to me on a platter again... :p

I'm giving it a go again, my time was from 6 months ago...heh heh.

Note new leaderboard at top.

I've been racing around, just finished off a 1:19.214 at Rome Night. Whew...I know I can do better, though.

Davey's here, don't fear!

I'm just starting up my own series on GameFAQs. It'd actually be nice if some of you guys went over there and looked at it at least. There aren't many regs at the GF board to compete with anymore- but I guess it is good to see new faces. If you're interested, it's kinda two leagues in one- there's an LM race and a Touring race each week. LM is basically all the cars under 591 hp with the LM tag on it. Touring, my fave part in it, is the game's "grocery getters" tuned up to race. It includes the 328ci, Galant, Legacy, Alfa 156, S4, Altezza, and some others. They are all REAL fun to drive in.

Glad to see DWR is still active, even if it is remotely so.

this is too cool....
Can't wait until I get home to crank up that frenchie!! Beware fellas I not bankin 55+ million for nothin, and I didn't cheat to get it!

:D icandigit

This car takes practice. And unfortunately, Rome Night doesn't give you many chances for practice.

But it's still fun!

figured i'd give it a turn; that last turn is a pain in the arse, as is the understeer of the venturi...lol

1:18.243 @ 183.78 MPH
SS tires and maxed downforce
no tinkering yet
