Hi everyone.
I just got the free version of DaVinci Resolve to edit videos for YouTube.
I know how to use it at the most basic level...import media, trim and deliver.
Now, this blew my mind and it's making me crazy because ChatGPT keeps telling me to look for options that clearly do not exist on the software.
My problem is: out of a video of 5 hours and 6.5 GB (to round up) I got a clip of 1:15 hour AT 6 GB!!!! Isnt it stupid crazy!? 4 hours off only reduced 500 Mbs... Could anyone be so kind as to teach me how to reduce the quality or Kb/s which is what GPT keeps telling me to change?
Thanks in advance for any help.

I know nothing about DaVinci Resolve but it sounds like there must be an upscaling setting that's on.

To my recollection you can't with the presets but you can with the Custom Export in the Deliver menu.

Whoa! That IS exactly what Chat GPT kept telling me, to look for "Quality" and then Restrict to...I swear, it is not on my screen. Or how do I get there?
It's just in the Deliver menu (your final step on the bottom menu), under Custom Export (furthest left on the scroll bar at the top-left).

And is it normal that it always drops the video at the 1 hour mark?

[Removed because, on second thought, I use an AI tool for writing feedback. That's sort of similar to why OP was using ChatGPT, but a Startpage search probably would have worked better for them]
