Daytona glitch issue

OK, I'm 0 for 2 at completing a race at Daytona without the game freezing.

Tried both the truck race and the super car race and the game freezes afterward when it shows the results screen. It's not a complete freeze as it shows different screen shots but the cursor is stuck and has the little spinning clock over it. Has this happened to anyone else? Frustrating.

No sooner than I post this, I tried to move the cursor and it let me exit out of the game. Strange.
