I ran an event at Daytona Road Course last night -a great track for testing drivers!
In a short twenty-lap race I made a mandatory pit stop and chose (obviously) zero fuel. The tyres were changed, the car dropped off the jacks... and just sat there.
There was a car travelling along the track to cross the s/f line and once that had passed I was released from the box.
I mentioned this to the other drivers and as they made their own pit stops we realised that when there were no cars on the s/f straight then the pit release was instantaneous after the car was dropped.
Where there WAS a car on the s/f straight then the pitting car would be held until the car on the straight had passed.
Has anyone else noticed this? A search didn't turn up anything that appeared similar... so I went backed and checked the replays. It's definitely happening!
