DB9 Tuned Vs. M3 GTR....

I'm trying to settle in on one car to 'master' in the 550-600 pp range, and I have it down to the DB9 tuned or the M3 GTR. Maxed tuned, I have the Aston at 578pp, and the M3 at 583 or something.

When I limit the M3 down to 578 pp, I can go quicker in it, even though its the same PP as the BMW.

BUT, I kind of like the understeer-iness (for some reason) and the higher top speed of the Aston, as well as the fact that it is a Premium car and looks much sexier than the BMW...

HERE'S the question...do you think I can learn to be as quick or quicker in the Aston, or am I just shooting myself in the foot from the get go in this heavier, less-good car???

When I limit the M3 down to 578 pp, I can go quicker in it, even though its the same PP as the BMW. That should read "same PP as the Aston."

Ok troll, retire back to your cave. :)

To the OP, I would suggest the BMW because from my experience it is arguably the fastest car at the 550pp level. It has an exceptionally neutral feel if it is set up right, and really is the perfect "point and shoot" kinda car. Now, that being said, it does get a little bland driving after awhile because it is just so smooth and nice, so if you're wanting character/sliding/fun factor, its not your ride.

I race several cars at 585 PP with some friends. The Aston is a lot of fun to drive. Be different from all of the GTR/CSL drivers and use the Aston.

Besides...it's the driver more than the car that wins races.

My hands down fave is the M3, because it is so smooth and obedient when tuned properly. That, and I am not a fan of understeer. I would rather wrestle oversteer any day. That being said, there is great satisfaction in taking a car, and tuning its habits to your liking. I would say if you like the Aston, then learn the chassis like your life depended on it, and have fun with the satisfaction that you turned an "ugly car" into a dream ride.

The DB9 sounds pretty and drives like a pig. Normally I don't condone driving beamers but even I have to admit the M3 has its perks.

I'd say if you have a wheel and can drift half decent, the DB9 is a blast. The BMW is just flat out smooth and more forgiving. I like switching back and forth between the 2, Have fun.

Troll?? I'm as misunderstood as he is, I think the OP meant Aston aswell.

For 550pp-600pp, other cars to consider might be the premium M5, the Ford GT (No Stripe), or the Zonda C12 S.

To answer your question OP, I believe ultimately the Beemer is the faster car but which one to choose depends on what you want it to do. If you're just driving for fun or to win some seasonals pick whatever car you want. If you want to compete online and have a chance at winning in a competitive room, you'll have to pick the Beemer.

Ate you guys talking about the gtr road car version not the race car version?
