DDR or DDR2?

Hey,
My current motherboard is a Gigabyte Technology 8IG1000MK, running a single stick of 512mb DDR-SDRAM.
I'm looking to upgrade to 2GB, preferable Corsair, and I was wondering whether it would be possible to use DDR2 RAM or if it is only compatible with DDR.
The RAM I'm looking at currently is this:

Corsair TWIN2X2048-5400C4 (2 x 1GB) Twin2X PC-5400 DDR2 RAM
Will it work in my comp?
Here are some specs of it right now:

Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't think so.

DDR and DDR2 are not compatible, they have different pin configurations and things.

I looked at your motherboard and it seems to be a regular DDR-400 (double data rate, 400 megahertz) motherboard, so my guess would be no.

That is true but he isn't getting two different sticks. He is asking about DDR and DDR2.

Both of those sets of RAM look fine. Depends how much you want to spend really.

Yeah, I'll be taking out the current 512 stick, putting in the two new 1gb sticks and putting the 512 in the other computer.
And the price... the equivalent DDR is about $40 more expensive than the DDR2, but if thats what it takes, I guess I'll pay.
