OK people, I need some help here. The final race I have to complete in the endurance section is de la Sarthe 2 (without chicanes). I'll admit it, I'm struggling!!
Here are the cars I own (in power/weight ratio order) that I thought would be up to the challenge;
Formula Gran Turismo, Nissan R92CP, Minolta Toyota, Gillet Vertigo, Jaguar XJR-9, Mazda 787B, Sauber Merc, BMW McLaren, Toyota GT-1, Audi R8, AMG CLK-GTR
(some have stage4 some don't)
Believe me, I've tried all of these cars for around 20 laps. With each one I find myself in 4th or 5th lapping between 2 and 5 seconds slower than the guy in 1st.
I've done la Sarthe in 2.54 and the Nurby in 5.58 with R3/R3 tyres, so I know I'm not that slow.
What amazes me is on A-spec I can do between 240 and 260 down the long straight, B-spec Bob sits there at 201. Why????
From the above what would be the best car to use and how should i set it up??? Is there a car I need to win that would be better (the Pescarolo looks good, but what race wins it?) maybe the Bentley.
Any suggestions please - i'm starting to pull my hair out.
