Well I just got this game last week, and I have to say it's real fun. The only other Dead Space game I've played is Extraction (the rail shooter one), but I do watch my brother play the other main games sometimes, and I sometimes look around the wiki so I have no problem catching up with the game's lore.
Anyway, back to the game itself.
I don't normally play survival horror games, but the main thing that got me into playing this one is the weapon customization. I said to myself "🤬 the scary and creepy bits, I wanna mix and match weapon parts!"
This new feature is SICK. You can come up with your own mix of weapons, ranging from a combined Plasma Cutter and Flamethrower, to a Contact Beam and Pulse Rifle. Of course, with this weapons mechanics, the weapons also work different. Take for example, the Plasma Cutter. You can either attach a new weapon to the secondary slot, giving you two weapons but you won't be able to rotate the Cutter, or attach a Rotating Cuff Module to make it function like the old-school Plasma Cutter, but then you'd be occupying the secondary slot. It's this mix-and-match customization that gets me hooked in video games. I like personalization.
Has anyone else got this game? BTW I have it on the PS3.
