How do you guys/gals get such beautifully detailed decals uploaded within the insanely restrictive 15kb? I've managed to get a few. But mostly they end up looking either mushy or no detail at all. Or I have to split an other wise simple design. I use photoshop. The current version. I use vectorizor.io (sp?) to convert to svg. Is there a better conversion site maybe?

I don't know how to get the quality others do. But for simple ones I have used an online app to shrink the size of a .svg file. Most extreme example I can remember is a 35kb down to 14kb. Really differs from image to image.

Have a read here. Photoshop is not a vector graphics application.

thanks, I've downloaded inkscape and follow the tutorial and even with resizing my otherwise simple decals are to big. polyphony needs to just get over themselves and give us more than 15kb for GT7 when it comes out. It's ridiculous!

Some of the really detailed ones end up having to be split into multiple "layers". I've seen a number of uploads in the decal search functions where you can tell the main decal was too detailed and complex so they've split it out into multiple decals, one per colour or aspect, if that makes sense?

I've seen those. I've also seen decals that haven't been split. I'm working my way around in inkscape and omgsvt. Still haven't figured out how to do more than one color, even split in inkscape. But I'm fine with 1 color for now!
