Yes, you read that right.

Is there any easy way to decrease horsepower on a car that doesn't have any Race Mods.

I am (was) doing the New Seasonal Event with the Nissan GTR Spec V, Max hp 491. I bought the car w/ 478HP and did an oil change and now i'm rocking 501HP. It's pretty cool that a oil change can get you 23HP but I don't want this to be $150K mistake. Is the only way to decrease HP by putting miles on it and flogging it around a track?

Ya, I don't do the oil changes right off the bat for events like these, because too much randomness tied with them. All I did was give it a racing filter without a oil change. We really need restrictor plates.

You just have to drive with the car, over time, as long as you don't change oil or rebuild the engine again, the HP will decrease.

Run the car for mile after mile and after it peaks in power (after break-in) the HP will start to drop off and it will be eligible for the event.

I heard rebuilding the engine brings it back to before you changed the oil.

Anyone try that to confirm?

Isn't that around 100k? i would be better off selling it, more than likely, and repurchasing. I'll flip somebody for it. just trade straight out

wouldnt replacing filters or exhausts reduce hp?
for example racing filters give more hp than sports, so
if you had a racing filter and you were to install a sports 1, wouldnt it decrease in hp?
