Decrease in spam?

Is it just me or has the number of posts decreased (at least posts that often feels unneccessary) the latest 2 days?

The posts aren't counting in any forum right now, right? If it is so and my previous observation is true then the connection isn't hard to get.

Idea: Mabye skip the post-count system and get rid of a lot of spamming. Custom avatar after 3 months. Custom title after one year.
 
I never understood why the post count was recognized in the first place. As far as I can tell all it does it encourage spaming and post whoring. Especially now that it's only on the profile page, who cares? Who even looks?
 
I don't know, but I have more posts than both of you. I'm clearly better.

I think the decrease in spam is because of the database errors. When everything is all fixed up, the spamming will commence again.

Um. I haven't bothered to come here much today. It's basically like contributing to the problem.
 
I believe our severe database problems are the main reason for this.

For new members, it's pretty hard to find out 'who's who' on these forums - even join date is fairly ambiguous. Post count was probably originally recognised simply because most other forums do it - I was originally a bit weary about the removal of them but it's been completely smooth.
