I need help!

I play dirt 3 alot and thought it would be cool to add a monitor which permanently shows the rear-view in the game. I currently have a 24" LCD on my computer desk. A 32" LCD attached to my racing rig. And a 7" LCD attached to the side of the steering wheel on the racing rig. They are all currently connected to my MSI Hawk 5770 Graphics card which supports Eyefinity (3 monitors).

I was hoping to have the 7" screen be the rear-view. So when I want to see what's behind me, I simply look away from the main 32" monitor and glance at the 7".

I've talked to a close friend of mine who says the only way to do this is by playing live, connecting a second computer to the 7" monitor and joining the race as a "spectator" then set the view to rear-view.

I'm sure this would work but it seems like a lot of unnecessary steps. Plus I would have to buy a second computer which doesn't really sound appealing. Would a tablet work?

Is there any other way to do this that you can think of? Is there a dual-view mode in Dirt 3 or....an adapter....or?

Thanks

You could get a very crappy second but I don't really see why it is so bad to just press a button to look back rather than spend 300 plus USD for something like that. Not that it is a bad idea just seems unnecessary..

Well I just had the 7" monitor laying around from my videography days. Thought I would try to make use of it. Cosmetically it looks awesome mounted next to the steering wheel. Unfortunetly I guess there's no way to do it
